Didn't know that. But still, if Shaq is anywhere close to 100% during playoff time the Celtics will be fine.

Shaq and Kristic, throw in Big Baby, they will be fine at the 5.

They should go get Wilcox from Detroit. He is a rebounding machine and seems to get a hand on everything.

I don't know how you're so casual about it. They will be fine? I'm not so sure without Perkins.

Shaq is great in short spurts, but should not be depended upon to log heavy consistent minutes.

The Thunder on the other hand lose a little in this deal as well. They lose that pick and pop big they had with Kristic. That front line is really limited now offensively. However, I think the addition of Perkins outweighs the negative.

They won't be fine without Perkins. Not having Perkins lost them Game 7 last year. But that's been talked about enough since June.

Celtics fans - if you lose this year, will Perkins be able to leave for nothing in the off-season?

I'll tell you who is happy as hell about this deal, Dwight.

                    Agreed with this overall post.

OKC is gonna have to maybe play Collison more? Cuz their frontline is extremely limited offensively.

I wouldn't have invested so heavily in a big man less than one yr removed from a torn knee ligament.

Re: Kendrick Perkins Traded to OKC

All I can think of is Ainge knew he wasn't going to be able to re-sign Perk this offseason and felt the need to get rid of him while he could, before his knees completely give out or something like that. I don't really know, it hurts quite a bit to know the one advantage the C's had over the Lakers/Heat/Magic is now gone.

I like the Semih/Harangody trade for the picks, that'll help in the future, and the cap room in 2012 is nice to think about...but I don't want to be the ****ing Heat or the Knicks just assuming one of the big FA's will sign there.

From reports, I guess that's what Ainge's logic was. We will see if Kendrick re-signs with OKC.

He jumped ship on those damaged goods and found a replacement at te 4. Ainge is good man. C's fans might not like Perk leaving, but still gotta look to the future too. . .
