It says plenty if you're following along with the conversation.

People are trying to act like Imam is nothing but a defensive pick which he isn't, at all, if he goes out there and can't score they WON'T play him, plain and simple, they'll just fill his hole back up with Bill Walker, Toney Douglas and Shawne Williams.

Brewer, Balkman and Anthony Carter were all good on ball defenders who NEVER got playing time for the Knicks this year. Randolph could've gotten some blocks down low and let Amar'e play a little more freely on offense and conservatively on defense, he didn't sniff the floor. As soon as they signed Jeffries he was thrust into the lineup over Turiaf who is a much better defender, being a solid defender isn't enough to get you floor time on this team.

Yeah but Iman is a better athlete than everyone you just mentioned so he should score more in transition.
Plus they have to see something in him if they drafted him.

Plus they have to see something in him if they drafted him.

That's exactly my point, he's someone they think is going to score in their system while also being able to play good defense, not someone who's being brought in to be a shut down defender and that's it.

People are acting like this is "the defensive guy" the Knicks need and that's why they drafted him and that's 100% false because if he comes out and plays great defense and averages 2.3 PPG in the first 15 games you'll never see him in a Knicks uniform again.
