I've been really impressed with Derrick Willliams lately and would love it if he fell to the Jazz in the draft.

I'm impressed with all the hate on Sullinger. Sure the guy's body has him lost in translation, but he is still a damn good ball player. With the way teams play small now, Sullinger will be just fine where he ends up. He won't ever be a star, but he will get his name known around the league.

Barnes is finally living up to all of the "Kobe" hype. He has gotten better every game since the season started. Honestly, he is the only player who I could see pushing Irving out of the top pick. If Barnes does stay, he will become a monster, but if not he will be Top 3 without a doubt.

I agree with you. People call them weak because there isn't a star or a phenom. LeBron and Durant were phenoms, once in a lifetime players. With kids going to college one year, of course nobody will know how well they will play in the NBA. But when you look at seniors getting drafted everyone knows right where they fit.

You can't judge a class until the step on the floor...Michael Redd anyone?

Durant obviously wasn't viewed as a once in a lifetime player going into that draft, as the Blazers made the 2nd biggest draft blunder ever, after their other on in 84....

He was still considered a can't miss prospect. Oden was just bigger and more athletic and in the NBA size wins. They were both 1 and 1a.

It also had to do with how well a great, defensive minded center would have fit into that Blazers lineup. And that their budding star played the same position as KD. It was a perfect storm... just like the year they skipped over Jordan.

It's amazing that it's happened twice to the same team, but even more amazing that the picks they made really did make sense... in a similar way.

Where do you all think Alec Burks is going to fall? Dude played at a rival high school, same as Josh Freeman. Dude ate us like three times my senior year.

There are a lot of things I love about Sully's game. He's a bruiser and he knows it but I've also seen him step out and knockdown a jumper. When I said he's not as skilled as Boozer I specifically meant Boozer's left hand which I consider to the best in the league for a big man. He's great at finishing around the hoop with it and it makes up for his lack of size. Sullinger looks like he's serious about hoops. I think the lbs will drop.

I love Harrison's game. I think he's extremely skilled for an 18yr old with an overall game that's mature and NBA ready. His jumper is solid, has great size for a 2, sneaky athletic, very efficient with the dribble (doesn't waste a lot of dribbles), and can score within a set offense. He struggled early but then again so did his whole team..

Sullinger cares about the game, not just the fame and fortune. His mentality will get him a lot further in the league than most.

He aint much smaller than Iverson, and he's got similar build and toughness, but that's a stretch. Clipps pick will prolly be in the 8-10 range, and I sure wouldn't mind Williams and Walker if we don't get Irving. Love Williams, hate Perry Jones. Reminds me of Courtney Brown...athletic freak with no fire. CLE should have three lottery picks...Gilbert is determined to use the trade exception to buy another bad contract to get a third lotto pick.

I heard the Cavs like the Euro bigs alot also.

NO you didnt just say Courtney Brown!! lol Wow... I just took a time machine! Man if Courtney was selected in later rounds he would of been so much better. But I do think he was over hyped because he was coming in with LaArrington.

But I believe Kemba is probably 5-11 without shoes on.

Well looks like Jordan Williams is dead set on coming out. He's not signing an agent so that's a good thing but ugh. About to be another wasted talent rotting on somebody's bench.

I think its great that he didn't sign a agent. He can go through the process and see exactly what his weakness really are. I love this "no hire agent" option for college kids. It really give them a chance to see where they're at. They don't believe in the hype.

Sorry, jeebs... he was being discussed earlier in this thread so I figured I didn't need to provide any more info.

A closer example would be Vazquez (played with Jordan at MD just last year). He actually used the experience just to go to camp and help his game... I don't think he ever planned on not going back his senior year. That's not Williams though. It sounds like his head is already gone, even though he's getting evaluated as a late 1st or early 2nd round pick.

He's not ready. You can look at his game and see the potential but so many obvious ways he's not ready. You can look at his status as the best player on the Terps and he basically disappeared in the last 3 games that should've all been wins that put the terps in the NCAA tournament (against BC, Virginia and Miami) but instead were all loses... bad loses that kept the Terps out of the NIT.

His resume is horrible right now for coming out and his game is questionable... which makes me think his mentality is questionable too. Really disappointed right now.
