So...anyone want to take a shot at predicting Perry Jones III or Harrison Barnes career?

Here's my question...who are the good shooting guards in the draft? And which ones are NBA-ready now?

I've only seen him play once, but the SG from Colorado definitely stands out as arguably the best SG in this year's draft, depending on what position you consider some of the other guys.

And Professa, he won't be a 1st round pick, but I would think Rick Jackson will be taken by someone in the 2nd round based on his rebounding alone. Not really very skilled or athletic but he just seems to have a nose for being in the right position to get easy buckets and rebounds/blocks.

alec burks is the only sg that is worth talking about in the draft.

I don't know why... But I'm not sold on this Jared guy out of Ohio. Reminds me of Boozer. I think Kyrie Iriving is going to be pretty good. Perry Jones has probably the biggest high-low of all the top players. You could get the next TMac/Durant or Duraus Miles. That is how inconsistent he is. But he been playing well. There are a few other guys I really like this year. More on them later.

Yeah, if I draft Sullinger and he turns into Boozer I'd feel like Michael Jordan after drafting Kwame...

Jordan Williams is not coming out... and if I'm wrong I feel sorry for whoever drafts him. He was AMAZING as a freshman, damn good as a sophmore but if this were his senior year it'd be a disappointment. He's still got some work to do. His fundamentals are good though so he should develop into a prototypical NBA PF imo, but he's definitely not there yet. I don't think he even has one real post move and I also wonder how tall he really is. He really should stay 4 years. He could be special but not now... and not on the Nets. Playing next to Lopez doesn't seem like a good idea.

Agree about PJ being KD/T-mac or Miles,

I also agree, i don't see what is wrong with Carlos Boozer. Sure he's not a superstar but he is a good starter and def a top 8 at his position.

The problem I have with Boozer is that he is a small PF. When the playoffs start. Those lanes in the paint get smaller. And big men are usually eating up space. When he is the main focus of your down low presense. I just feel he disappears at times. Even for all of his strength. Not to say he isn't a top 8 big man. I compare him to a guy like Big Baby. I feel Big Baby is better defensively then Boozer is. If his offense is off. Your playing 4 on 5. Just my opinion.

And I'm not sure if even he is worth talking about. Don't get me wrong he could be a good pro in a couple years but a SG that only shoot 30% from college 3? yikes.

Derrick Williams looks like the most NBA ready guy. Hes too quick for the big guys to guard him, one step an hes at the rim slamming it down. Hes too big for smaller guys to handle. Plays pretty damn well in the post an can hit the 3 too. He looks like the real deal.

Kemba and Williams are going to be top 5 picks. Jimmer will be a mid lottery pick, me thinks. Alec Burks is in the same vein as Evan Turner. Harrison Barnes got better with each game I saw of him.

Also, they're nothing spectacular, but Justin Harper from Richmond and JaJuan Johnson from Purdue caught my eye in play recently.

I find it odd that people say it's a weak draft. It's not a super deep one, but there's some interesting talents that could come out.

I say "could" cuz with the CBA, I wonder if players will stick around a year or not.
