I agree, I think he's a slight better coming out of unc then marvin williams was. But he needs to go back and get another year under his belt. He has shown he can be a good player, but he has showed he can disappear in games also.

I hope he does stay in school. He said he wanted to create a legacy at UNC, so he needs to stay at least two more years to do that.

/end my college version of AlexBrady-type rant.
TNT definitely needs to come back for another year to refine his game. He would go in the top 20-25 solely based on his athleticism, defensive ability and "potential" as you already alluded to. Where he lacks in size (probably will measure in at or just under 6'8") and bulk, he makes up in athleticism (7" + wingspan, explosive first step, quick).

He's athletic enough to play the 3, but has zero game outside of the post area. His jumper is almost laughable, below average handles, etc. He'd have to play the 4 position, but his post game is almost as lacking as his perimeter game. He doesn't have a go to move in the post, and a bulk of his points came on put backs and dunks off of offensive boards.

Defensively, with his speed, length and athleticism, he can guard the 3 or 4 at the next level. He can be physical and inhale anything that comes off the rim, then at other times, he can get bodied and worked (see Derrick Williams, Arizona).

He needs to come back to Texas and develop a go to move in the post and a mid-range game.

As of right now, he says he'll be back to play with fellow Canadian and incoming freshman, Myck Kabango.

Not only should we win the lotto, the Clippers pick should be #2 with what we Cavs fans have had to put up with over the last year.

                Man forget that.

If we can't even a Top 2 pick after losing 70 games(110+ from 08-10)then ya'll damn sure don't deserve the number one pick just because ONE player took a **** on ya'll, coming off of back to back 60 win seasons

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread

The 3 best guys in this draft will be Derrick Williams, Harrison Barnes and Kyrie Irving, in that order. A guy to keep an eye on is Enes Kanter. Dude is a monster who isn't afraid to mix it up and can step out and knock down perimeter jumpers. I would stay far away from Sullinger and Perry Jones. Sullinger is going to measure about 6'7" at the pre draft workouts and he has a hard time finishing in college. He's a less skilled Corliss Williamson to me. Perry Jones couldn't even get Baylor into the tourney this year in a weak field and was often underwhelming individually. He also has effort and character issues to worry about.

Sullinger isn't even coming out, we'll see if he sticks to that.

Doubt he stays. And really why would he stay? His draft stock isn't going to get any higher.

                        1. There could be a lockout

Sully needs to drop some of that baby-fat if he wants to be a Boozer type player in the NBA. He's also not as skilled as Boozer was coming out of Dook.

Player say that all the time. There is no guarantee if he does stay all four years that he will win a title. Only reason I would go back is if I really thought the potential lockout could negatively impact my career. I think he is suspect anyways. So for him it's better to come out now when it's a weak class.

This. #3 at the worst for the Clips pick, lol.

From what I've seen watching the tourney, I really like Derrick Williams. He looks like he's the most ready to jump to the NBA and contribute instantly. I also like what I see out of Harrison Barnes.

As much as I love Kemba, I don't know if I want the Cavs getting him. I just don't know if he can be more than a scorer. If he played a different position then that would be fine, but IDK about him as an NBA PG. Same goes for Jimmer, except I really don't like his game. At best I think he can be a Jamal Crawford-style 6th man.

Sullinger, if he does come out, I don't think I want on the Cavs either. He just doesn't stand out to me. Seems like he might need another year or so in college.

Finally, I didn't get to see Kyrie play, but just from what I've heard, I want him. If the Cavs can miraculously get him and Barnes or Williams, I will be so over the ****storm of this past year.
