With that said, he will also likely never be an All Star. He will be a "good" pg in the NBA but never a star. I think Irving has the chance to be a star for several years and I think Kemba may go through a "star" period (2-6 years) but not over his career.

Back to Knight. His 3 biggest strengths are his shooting ability, his work ethic and his IQ. That alone will give him a successful career. He can and does go left but he isn't great at it. His ball handling is slightly above average but his ability to break down a defender is slightly below average. He can get in the lane and take a hit for the "and one" but needs to get better at it. He has a great floater that will come in handy in the NBA and an above average mid range shot. He needs to learn and understand how to have better vision and play making abilities though.

But, and its a BIG BUTT, the one caveat with Knight and why it can be hard to project his career is that he is extremely intelligent. When you take a player and combine his IQ and work ethic, big things "can" happen. Will they? Possibly. Do I think so? Not really. But I do think Knight is a guy that will have a long and successful career as a PG and if on the right team, can bring home a championship or two.
Wow. Very bold statement here about Knight.

If Knight becomes all of that, I'll probably remember this post in the back of my mind. That last paragraph was pretty crazy to consider, in a draft where Knight isn't really in the discussion with Irving at all.

I still feel like Knight will be a good player to have off the bench for a winning team. He's a guy that I think is ideally able to come off the bench to give a team's PG or SG a break. He can play either position and can give you a scoring punch off the bench. I still think he ends up being a player similar to Jason Terry for the reasons I listed above.

I don't know too much about Leonard and Biyombo, but for a coach like Casey that is coming to Toronto to turn the defense around, guys like Leonard, Biyombo, and Chris Singleton definitely fit that bill. However, I don't know if I would buy too much into Woj's tweet. Kemba seems like the perfect fit for that team. A guy that will do anything to win, a scrapper, and a guy that picks up steals and rebounds well despite his lack of height and length. I really think that would be a match made in heaven.

That's true. He could definitely end up being the same way, but he's definitely a better shooter and seemed craftier in college this past year than Knight. He also appears to be the quicker of the two players based on the combine numbers (which admittedly don't tell the whole story). I don't know. Fredette reminds me of Steph Curry a bit and I had a good feeling about both of them heading into the draft. I just don't get the same feeling with Knight, and I don't mean that to say Knight won't be good. I think he'll be a very valuable player. I just don't think he's the type that will be a starter on a championship team, but perhaps I'll be wrong. I think the difference between the two for me is really more of a gut feeling than anything backed by statistics.

Dare I say it... perhaps a foreign player?! Nah... the Spurs would never.

My take on the point guards:

Irving is still the top dog.

Granted the gap is getting ever smaller. And to be honest I like both Kemba and Brandon about the same as point guards. I really don't think either one is going to have a GREAT career or one is going to have a vastly superior career compared to the other. I think they'll both be good point guards in the NBA, but I still think Irving is a future all-star. Again, EXTREMELY small sample size compared to Kemba and even Knight, but when you did see that small sample size, the kid was great. If I'm the Cavs I draft him just for his leadership on the court and his ability to shoot the ball. Everything else to me is gravy considering how bad this draft supposedly is but yet I still see things every day about teams trying to trade up to get these "average" players.

Seems like Kemba has that killer instinct.

Well hopefully his sources are a lot better than his scouting ability. He once projected a guy from overseas to be a high impact player on a major college team and when I saw this guy play a lot and I have no idea how he could have come to that conclusion. The guy played in the A-10 and was horrible.

Givony is terrific. Saying he sucks cause he evaluated one guy poorly doesn't make him bad at his job.
