Andy Katz is claiming the player who may fall out of the Lottery is Kemba Walker.

Especially if Utah & Sacto pass on him.

He has an article on ESPN.com on the draft if someone would like to check-it out or post it

I will wager a large sum of money that he will not fall out of the lottery.

      Any takers?

Agreed. Walker will not make it past the lottery. There are too many teams that would love to draft Walker. I know the Raptors are interested. Utah will have a second look with their second pick and I highly doubt he gets passed up again. The Suns need a replacement for Nash soon and Walker could be nabbed if Jimmer Fredette is not available. Detroit could use an upgrade at the 1-guard.

I want Kemba if he falls to 8. I just don't see a big in this draft that is worth taking a chance on. While Stuckey has the size you want from a PG, I just see him as a 2. Either take Kemba or trade down and take Darius.

            chances of kemba falling

            DET- promised Tristan Thompson
CHA- already have a small PG in Augustine
MIL- already have a small PG in jennings
GSW- looks like they are going Klay Thompson here
UTA- Jimmer or chris singleton here
PHO- I could see Phoenix taking kemba here because Nash is near the end of his career and Aaron brooks is a free agent, everyone knows their owner is cheap.
HOU- I think they are fine with Lowry + Dragic combo
IND- already have a small PG in Collison
PHI- i heard a rumor they promised Jordan hamilton, and he cancelled his workout with New York immediately after the promise.

That's the scenario that allows Kemba to fall out of the Lottery. Phoenix @ 12 would be his last chance

Hey guys, be nice to my team now. I think we are just blowing smoke with all these trade rumors, just trying to get teams to outbid each other. In the end I think we'll end up drafting and keeping Derrick Williams unless somebody makes a ridiculous offer.

Did they announce who is covering the draft yet? If it is Bilas and van Gundy, I can probably live with the rest.

On another note, I am surprised to read on other sites about people not being high on Kemba. I think he has a chance to be a very good player and I don't see how he can't be a starting point guard in this league or at worst a 6th man.

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread

For me, it's been nice to watch these old drafts because back around 1998 was when I first started watching the NBA and I could only go as in depth to say "Wow, Michael Jordan is good. Wow, John Stockton is good." etc.

So to be able to go back and watch the old drafts now is really interesting for me because I know how all the guys turned out but I had never seen where it all began before, so I got to see the Steph Marbury-Ray Allen trade and stuff like that for the first time.

Watching the 2003 draft again was pretty cool too. There was a debate about whether Chris Bosh would be a SF or a PF in the NBA, talking about how in most years, Darko would have easily been the #1 overall pick. And one analyst said some crazy ish about "I mean, teams are investing in guys like Darko now, and then waiting a few years before they actually get to play them. When are we finally going to start investing in embryos and say "wow, this guy had an amazing ultrasound. He'll be a big time player for us in 18 years." That just made me do a double take lol

I dunno if this has already been posted but NBA sources say San Antonio has offered George Hill to Milwaukee (#10), Golden State (#11) and Utah (#12) in exchange for their pick.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski and DraftExpress

Interesting - SA must really want someone up top. Guessing it's J-Val as has been speculated already.

If Sacramento, TOR and Utah all pass on this kid, then yes he may fall out. But that's a big if.

I could still see PHX or Indy taking him if all the other PG's have already been taken.

You really think Indy would take him when they already have Collison?

Or Phoenix with Nash and Brooks? It shall be interesting.

Collison? He's a nice player, but expendable. It's not overwhelmingly likely, but I could see it.

Brooks might not even be brought back, he is a restricted free agent. They need a backup. They were fools for trading Gragic away in the first place, shout out to Matrix.

If Milwaukee trades the #10 pick for George Hill I may have to seriously injure whoever the Spurs take with that pick. I pray Milwaukee isn't that stupid.

From my understanding, NBA TV is replaying the 2003 NBA Draft right now. And I'm willing to bet you that if Joe Dumars is looking at it, he's throwing up right now.
