Re: 3/28 - 4/3 Game Discussion Thread
As has been mentioned before, which contender could actually pull off a trade for him without crippling/gutting the team?
Nash doesn't have time to get traded to a team and then wait for free agency. He probably has 2 years left at an elite level.
It seems to me like he's stuck in PHX, but it was his choice to sign an extension so he'll have to live with it.
Only teams on my radar are Atlanta, New York or Portland. However I don't know what either of those teams would have to offer.Comment

Re: 3/28 - 4/3 Game Discussion Thread
I said in my last post about this topic - multi-team trade. It wouldn't be impossible. It would be hard to make it happen, yes, but it could happen. Suns (I think) will have a bit of cap room assuming that type of thing stays the same under a new CBA so they could take on players that have decent-sized contracts. As has been mentioned before, which contender could actually pull off a trade for him without crippling/gutting the team?

Re: 3/28 - 4/3 Game Discussion Thread
He's not "stuck" in Phoenix. He wants to be in Phoenix. Same with Hill, who said today he hopes to re-sign if there's no lockout.
ANYWAY....**** Ken Mauer. How the hell does this guy have a job?! Possibly Stern's BIGGEST company man.Comment

Didn't see anyone say he was stuck. Wasn't trying to play RealGm, just stating that as a fan, it sucks to see Nash and Hill waste their loyalties and productive years on a franchise that doesn't amount to much. I almost wish they were the types to demand a trade so we could see them compete in the playoffs. Not beating a drum, but I hate to see talent go to waste.Comment

Re: 3/28 - 4/3 Game Discussion Thread
Every time this Nash trade talk pops up here on OS i always feel like a negative version of those Bud Light commercials "Here we go!"
As for the Mav's game tonight, It was really good to see Barea take over the 4th tonight, 16 of his 22 points came in the 4th. We needed them too.
Also love to see Terry distribute like he did tonight, 7 assists for him.
Hopefully this continues a bit tomorrow night for the Lakers; Kidd, Chandler, and Marion all played less than 30 minutes.Comment

And well, I'm happy that they're loyal and respectful. That's why I like them. Because they're not like the other pieces of **** in this league.
Yeah, I hate seeing it go to waste too. Shame that the hole was already dug when the trade occurred. After around January 12, which was when the new guys had a couple games and we started getting in a flow, the team was entirely different. One of the better teams in the league since that date. Unfortunately, losing Nash and Frye for a few games sealed the fate, and Carter was a cancer throughout. Too much to overcome. Hey, their defense improved a lot though. Just couldn't put the damn ball in the hoop most of the time.
It's alright, hopefully next year the team will be re-born and something good will happen.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 03-31-2011, 01:54 AM.Comment

If Big Z would of caught me with elbows to the head like he did Wall, and I was that much shorter than him.. He would of caught a Street Fighter SHORYUKEN in his chin..

Re: 3/28 - 4/3 Game Discussion Thread
I didn't imply the "stuck" thing in PHX as a disrespectful jab, I literally meant that he is probably not going anywhere via trade.
And
The exact comment was reportedly referee Ken Mauer telling Dowdell to “stop being a little b****” after a call, to which Dowdell responded by asking Mauer if he would call him that off the court. That’s when Dowdell was tossed.

Oh I know what you meant by stuck. but "stuck" implies that he's dying to bounce or that they're dying to trade him.Comment

Re: 3/28 - 4/3 Game Discussion Thread
lol... You see I don't understand why little guys (like Wall) make such a big deal about this. A guy who is 7-3 is always going to natural elbow you in the face if he is taller than you. So as the defender when you come in trying to steal the ball (which obviously over his head.). You should know that your going to get hit in the face. And don't get mad when if it happens either.
But watching the replays I wonder why McGee wasn't throwout too.
The Heat have been scoring a lot of points lately.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
