This is exactly what I was talking about in the ref thread. We don't need to go behind the scenes to determine that Stern is doing nothing about his refs cause **** like this continues to happen. These guys feel like they're bulletproof cause Stern doesn't hold them accountable at all. Start firing these dickheads. Send them to the D-League. Let's see some new faces up on the NBA level blowing the whistles. Every year the same clowns in the ref shirts are making the same mistakes and pulling the same crap and if anybody says absolutely anything about it, they're buying Stern a new car.

It was all a PR stunt because of Donaghy

The refs do this kinda stuff because they know they have nothing to worry about

Oh don't get me wrong I know dude ain't doing nothing. I'm just talking about how wwharton was saying that we don't know what's being done and the refs having training camps over the summer and all this stuff. The kind of issues these NBA refs have a training camp isn't going to fix. These guys need to start losing big time cash, getting shipped to the D-League for extended periods of time or just flat out fired to get the message through to them. Instead the Joey Crawfords of the world are here calling games year after year after year. The same repeated screwups and issues of trying to inject themselves into the spotlight and allowing they're egos to blow up and nothing is being done to stop it because it's continuing to happen from the same dudes.

Didnt a ref have an after game altercation with Iverson and Sheed?

Was probably blown off because of who they were. Even Pat Riley said a ref told him "It‘s giving us absolute delight to watch you and your team die."

They say he was fined, but was he really lol

                Re: 3/28 - 4/3 Game Discussion Thread

I believe so, it was probably good old Steve Javie. Javie of course was the guy that said that to Riley as well. Here's one of his more infamous moments, ejecting the Blazers radio analyst.

Wheeler wasn’t around for the infamous day in 1994 when, working with Doucette, Rice got the unprecedented heave-ho from referee Steve Javie in a game at Indiana. Rice should have known better; he was at the game at Washington in 1991 when Javie had ejected the Bullets’ mascot in a game against Portland.
Doucette had laryngitis that night and had warned Rice he might have to take over the broadcast in the second half. In the third quarter, the Blazers’ Cliff Robinson had a shot he thought was goaltended, but it wasn’t called. Robinson looked at Rice on the way upcourt, “and I made a goaltending gesture to him,” Rice says. “Javie saw me do it.”
Subsequently, Doucette recalls, “Mike made the choke sign. I don’t think Javie liked it.”
According to Rice, as Javie ran by Rice’s courtside seat, the analyst was saying, “Justice is not being served.”
Javie approached Rice and said, “Just do your piddly little job and leave the officiating to me.”
“My piddly little job?” Rice replied. “I’m not the one who blew the call.”
After another exchange, Javie motioned him to the exits with, “You’re outta here.”
A security guard escorted Rice into the tunnel toward the locker room.
Here's another ref moment involving this Rice.

Wheeler and Rice both rage at the referees who do their Blazers wrong. Rice is more demonstrative than his partner.
“Once, just before halftime in a game at Utah, Jeff Hornacek stole a pass, leaned in and hit a shot at the buzzer,” Wheeler says. “It appeared his foot was on the line, but the refs ruled it a 3-pointer. We complained about it on-air, but when we saw the replay, you could see his foot was behind the line, so we didn’t mention it again.”
Before the second half, referee David Jones walked over to press row and gestured to Wheeler with three fingers in the air and a nod of the head.
“Mike took offense,” Wheeler says. “He took his headset off, stood up and said, ‘Congratulations, you got one right. Now you want to talk about the other five you got wrong?’ Jones said, ‘You want to do the rest of the game from the parking lot?’ (Referee) Mike Mathis came over, and Rice told him, ‘He makes one good call and wants to brag about it.’ ”
I don't think that ref is around anymore. However that's STILL to this day the kind of attitudes they walk around with. That was back in like 94 and damn near 20 years later, it's the same kind of stuff that happens.

Good bounce back win for the Bulls last night and good bounce back game for Boozer... but why for Boozer? It seems Boozer plays a lot better when Noah is out of the line up. He even mentioned post game he liked playing with Kurt as he he pick and pop player.

I find this pretty interesting. They need to figure out someway to make this work.

He definitely didn't beat up Wilkins. I heard about this on the radio this morning. They were talking about how bad the guy looks, his eye being all blown up from Nique gettin in his ***. He definitely didn't beat up Nique though.

How did you gather that Wilkins got beat up? Lol

According to insiders, Wilkins beat the crap out of that guy. And you can see in the mug shot that the ref had a huge black eye.

That can't be his real twitter account.

EDIT: Yep. It is. He just "retweeted" that. So maybe, he has a loophole.
