are you sure that deng won't dissapear somewhere on the way? I'm not
You're still doubting Rose's ability to step it up when the game is on the line?

The Bulls, statistically, have the best D in the league. They have the best opponents FG% and the best opponents 3pt %.

There are PLENTY of guys on the team who have played playoff and championship basketball (counting college too).....these guys have big game experience, and so does the coach, who has been to two Finals in a row.

And yes, who knows what Deng will bring consistently, but in the two playoffs he's played in, he's played more than well, even increasing upon his seasonal averages in a few areas.

As good as he is , doing this in a playoff series is tough when adjustments can be made.

I would like Boozer or Deng to bring thier averages up from 17 to 19/20 for the playoffs, and not have Rose shoulder all the weight.

In the two years of playoff experience Rose has, his performance has increased from his regular season output.

Yep and almost carried the Bulls to an upset series win against the Celtics in his rookie year.

Man this is a great question! I rememeber reading after the Bulls sweep the Heat. That people were still saying they would lose in the playoffs to Heat.

They do have a good shot. They have proven that they can beat the top teams in the East. But I don't right now. I just wonder how they're defense is going to have the same effect once the playoffs start.

Without Perkins in the middle, I think the Bulls bigs can do work against the Celtics front court. I definitely know they can beat the Heat in a series.

edit: Not writing off the Celtics though. Good teams find a way.

In fairness that was more Ben Gordon than Derrick. But let's make no mistakes Rose is a big game player. I have no idea how it's even a question if he can play in big games. Dude has IT and when the game is on the line he's going to make plays. This team is so much different from the Cavs if for no other reason than the fact that they have a player with heart and drive leading them who isn't going to quit cause things are harder than they expected.

I hate the playoff experience argument too. At the end of the day it's still just basketball. Beyond that, it's not like the Bulls are loaded with guys that have never been in the playoffs or something. They've got three guys from the Jazz who've been in the playoffs and know the difference between the season and postseason. Rose has been there every year of his career, Noah has been there three times, Taj is about to go for the second time in his career, Kurt Thomas has tons of playoff experience. I could see if on this entire team, not one of them had ever been to the playoffs before people were making the experience argument but the argument going on right now is ridiculous. Now all of a sudden there's relevant and irrelevant playoffs experience. Unbelievable.

For those who question if Rose can perform in the playoff, you do know that Rose holds the record for most points by a rookie in their first playoff game. He has been in the playoffs in his first two seasons in the league and has better numbers in the playoffs than in the regular season.
                  Regular Season Average: 20.8 ppg, 6.7 apg, .467 FG%
                  Playoff Average: 22.7 ppg, 6.8 apg, .473 FG%

Bulls x Lakers is my prediction, barring any unforseen consequences (injuries).

It would also be great because this year marks the 20th anniversary of the MJ x Magic finals.

I say yes and the only team I would put as a favorite over them is the Lakers. Locking up that 1 seed is going to be huge and will play a major role. Without Perkins and Shaq being old and hurt I can see us just dominating the inside against the Celtics. The team that probably worries me the most in the East is the Magic because of Dwight. I see us beating Miami cause of our advantage on the glass and them having nobody to even attempt to stop Rose. Don't get me wrong it will be tough series against any one of those three but with us having the homecourt I can see them winning any of those matchups.

I don't see how anybody could question if Rose will be able to get it done in the playoffs. Have they not watched him in the playoffs the past two years?? He has already shown he will step his game up when it comes playoff time.

I understand your faith in Rose and them, and i even had them in the Finals in the beginng of the year. Rose will do well, but the TEAM has to do well. That ONE vs the enemy stuff doesnt win Championships.
You can bring up all those Rose scored so and so in his first game as a Rookie.
That team isnt the same team as this Boozer team.

All teams need Cohesion. As a Regular season unit and a Playoff Unit.

And Rose is Just ONE superstar.

Lakers and Celtic have more than ONE.

Is Boozer turning in Rasheed Wallace for Detroit in the Playoffs?

Throwing Playoff Exp out the window is a gamble. Teams take their lumps and return.
I believe in progressing as a UNIT, vs " yeah, Player X got to the second round when he was on team x three years ago."

That team leans way to heavy on Rose much like the Cavs leaned on LeBron. I guess Iverson and th 6ers are a better comparison. The bench and chemistry becomes less of a factor in the playoffs the playoffs are more about the number of difference makers a team have the Bulls have one. I respect Noah, Booz, hell even Deng is a great talent, but not differences makers.

I don't think that it's Rose that's being doubted. I believe it's the rest of the roster that is the question mark.

I don't know why people are worried about Boozer producing in the playoffs. His playoff career averages are 20.3ppg 12.5rpg with a 50% shooting an that's over 44 playoff games. I doubt to many PF put up better numbers then that in the playoffs. Noah is also averaging a double double in 12 playoff games for his short career an as a starter Deng is averaging 20ppg in the playoffs. As long as Rose doesn't try an do everything himself the Bulls have a roster capable of reaching the Finals, much more dependable then the cavaliers roster.
