Seriously. Rich people will always fight tooth and nail to get every cent possible whenever there is an opportunity to get more money so wanting to see this lockout be ugly and last two years and all this other ridiculous bull**** doesn't fix anything because it's not some after school special or some tv show where everyone learns a lesson in the end and everything is wrapped up in a nice little package never to have to be addressed again. We'll go through this same type of **** every single time because one side is ALWAYS going to want more of the pie. So why wish for people to lose they're jobs for a band-aid.

I hate when I see thing like this. Especially when the economy is not good right now. When players and owners are battling for financial control of the NBA, it's the everyday workers that I can relate to that takes most of the casualties.
I do too, until I think about how much these corporate guys made. Then I sleep easier.

Shame. I thought that guy had a chance of being pretty good if he could get out of Toronto.

Suns hire a "defensive coordinator", Elston Turner from Houston.

Same and he was always a nice addition to your team for cheap in 2k11.

I can't wait for the lockout to end and see the flurry of signings happen in a span of 2 weeks. For the next few years the Lakers will be doing what MIA did this year, see how many guys want to come play for veteran's minimum.

Really if you don't count Marco. Not only that we need an owner and that won't happen without a CBA.

From what people on the know around here are saying, Chouest is waiting until the CBA comes out before he buys the team.

All the more reason I can't wait for this crap to get over with...shame the players will kick and scream and could lose the whole stupid season.

I kind of got that feeling that Chouest would purchase the team after this lockout ends. That's hope that's right. I have to find a radio app that let's me listen to the AM stations back home. I'm so sick of hearing about the Lakers and Dodgers.

                          Spain's national team

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka has been granted Spanish nationality, clearing the way for him to help Spain defend its European championship this summer.

Ibaka must swear loyalty to the Spanish crown and constitution to finalize the process after Spain’s Council of Ministers approved his petition for nationality on Friday.

The 21-year-old was born in the Republic of Congo but played for Spanish clubs for three years before moving to the NBA in 2009. According to Spanish media reports, he maintains a residence in Barcelona.

Damn that team will be nasty.

I hope Kyrie Irving comes to play for Australia (he was born here).

                              I'd pay to see this

According to reports from InterAksyon.com and SLAMOnline.com, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant, and New Orleans guard Chris Paul are headed to the Phillipines next week for a couple of exhibition games.

Sacramento's Tyreke Evans, Miami's Mario Chalmers, Minnesota's Darko Milicic, Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook and James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers' DeAndre Jordan reportedly have also been invited to participate.

The exhibition games will be played in Manila.

The NBA stars will play against the SMART-Gilas Pilipinas national team and an all-star squad from the Philippine Basketball Association.
