Re: NBA Off-season Movement & FA List (PG 1 Updated 6/29)

    Michael Beasley at it again

Capt. Scott Boerboom said Thursday that an officer stopped Beasley around 3 a.m. on June 26 on Interstate 394 after clocking him going 84 mph in a 65-mph zone. He says the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car.
According to the report, the officer found 16.2 grams of marijuana under the front passenger seat of Beasley's car. Beasley claimed the marijuana was not his, but belonged to a friend whom he had just dropped off, the report said.
Lockout fun begins for the NBA players, not that I think he wouldve stopped either way.

    EDIT:

16 grams? Are you kidding me? That's just over half an ounce... why travel with that.

Looks like the Williams pick won't be much of a logjam for Minny if Beasley keeps this junk up.

          Probably smoked the rest

I mean but didnt he say that same thing the last time though?

If so, he either needs to quit or get some new friends

Lol, he will never quit and neither will the rest of the 30-50% or so of the league that smokes.

You know half the league is thinking, no NBA, no drug testing!

The pathetic part about Beasley is that he is wreckless and seemingly apathetic about it all.

Keeping in mind his past transgressions, zooming though the streets with half an O? Are you serious? You're a *******. I wouldn't be sad at all if dude found himself out of the league. Overrated and an idiot who doesn't seem to learn from mistakes. And no the mistake isn't smoking, his mistake is being careless about any consequences that his lifestyle might lead to.

It's really not that hard to be careful with that type of thing. It's really not that hard to keep things behind closed doors. Idiot.

That's what I'm saying. If league rules allow the T-Wolves to cut him, what other team is going to give him another contract?

I wouldn't be surprised to see him out of the league. Sucks Minny won't be able to get any value for him. Idiot.

To be fair, I doubt Beasely is the only NBA player doing it. There's a reason the NBA doesn't test for Mary Jane...they know they won't have a league if they cut guys who smoked MJ.

Beasely is dumb enough to travel around with it........idiot

Looks like Deron Williams is going overseas...

Beşiktaş Cola Turka, briefly known as the team employing Allen Iverson (remember him?), has reportedly agreed to terms with another, perhaps more reliable American NBA baller. Turkey-based sports news outlet NTV Spor announced today that Deron Williams of the New Jersey Nets will be joining the TBL club for the 2011-12 with an out clause, should the NBA lockout end.

Williams stands to earn some $16 million with Mikhail Prokhorov’s team, should a season be played.

Nope, not real. It's Derrick Williams of the NFL.

Wow... Edit again, it's Deron Williams, ESPN just confirmed it.

Hey Deron is just trying to get paid or stay in shape. Nothing wrong with that here. Only thing is if he gets hurt. Besides that its all good to me.

I hope this is not a trend that filters over to other big names of the league.
