I like Iguodala, but I'm in the boat that he's a 2nd, 3rd wheel type. His game doesn't lend itself to carrying teams to the glory lands, but he's still a talented player. Kind of like a Lebron-lite.

I see Iggy like I did Marion

I really wouldn't expect Iggy and another star to carry a team too far. I think they would need at least one more fringe star.

I guess it would depend on that other star player. I see Iggy as the Pippen type as far as doing a lot of the dirty work at a really high level yet can give his team I a needed boost offensively. I do think he's slightly over paid and he hasn't played at the level offensively that got him that contract.

Totally agree here. The 2 things have haven't really developed in his game dribbling and med range jumper. Hopefully he becomes a knock down 3 pointer shooter later in his career. Or he is the next Marion.

I would love to see the 76ers trade Iggy for Monta Ellis.

I think Ellis would bring back the glory days of Iverson.

If they did, they wouldn't need a true PG and could get some value in a trade of their current PGs for some bigs.

No chance would I trade Holiday. There are so many good point guards in the league right now, you need a point guard that can hold his own against them.

Iguodala would be a very good fit for team with scorers, that would allow him to be more playmaker than scorer. If he has to be the scorer, he struggles; but if he is allowed to create for others and be more of a passer, he can thrive.

I don't think the Marion comparison is a good one player-wise for Iggy.

Athleticism and defense aside, Marion is much more of a hustle/garbage guy, occasional corner three. Iggy's much more adept with the mid-range game it seems.

                    You're correct.

Also Kristic has signed with CSKA.

Yeah...but if the 76ers acquire Monta, you wouldn't need a real PG. It would be the same/similar to the GS situation with Curry & Ellis.

I say if you get Monta, trade Holiday while you can for a big or a player with some size. I think it's good value. Just my opinion though.

If getting Ellis means they need to trade Holiday, then don't get Ellis.

                          Alot of faith in Jrue?

Or against shaking things up that much as the teams goes forward?

Doug Collins did a great job with the 6ers, and a team that "young" needs time to grow no doubt, but there aren't pieces you think the 6ers should consider if they end up "needing" to trade Jrue? What if they could find a way to get out of that awful Elton Brand deal with Jrue being the prize (unlikely, especially with the new CBA, but I'm talking to talk).

I think Jrue's a really good young talent that showed a lot of promise this year. I can't say how good I think he could end up being, but I think he could at least be as valuable a PG as Ellis is as a SG (an undersized one at that). Doesn't seem to make sense to move him to bring in a guy like Ellis imo (shake up with little upside, money, giving up on good potential when Ellis is pretty much what he's going to be which isn't bad but nothing all that special either).

Ellis size is definitely a red flag, agreed 100%. Part of the reason why I think running Jrue/Ellis/Turner would create huge mismatches defensively for them (not so much Jrue, but Ellis Turner at the 2 and 3 respectively). Iggy almost has to go at this point it seems, the bridge is slowly burning. I don't know what kind of value Jrue would have on an open market, but I'm sure there'd be a handful of teams very interested.

I like Jrue as one of the cornerstones to the future of the 6ers though, that's the thing. Maybe this just means Ellis isn't a good fit. Honestly, if Turner becomes anything (he showed promise late but I'm still not sold) then they don't need a SG, they need a SF to replace Iggy. If Turner has a future as a bench player then he'd basically be behind Ellis. I'm guessing that's how they'd look at it.
