Re: NBA Off-season Movement & FA List (PG 1 Updated 6/29)
I think that if you are injured or a bench warmer who never plays you still are a champion.
Even though you may have not contributed to winning the actual game. The players who are injured sacrificed there body for there team, even though it isn't their decision they still go on to the floor knowing they may come out with a torn ACL or whatnot. and the bench players help by making everyone on there team better in practice buy pushing/supporting them.
So I think if your on a championship team, you are a champion.Chicago Bulls
Chicago Bears

Re: NBA Off-season Movement & FA List (PG 1 Updated 6/29)
I agree as well.
I've got a buddy who was a strength and conditioning coach for a national level Rugby team here in Australia for a while and he said the guys rehabbing injuries work 10 times harder than the guys actually playing the games. So even if they aren't contributing to the actual on court success with their play they are working hard for the benefit of the team and providing moral support etc.
I'm sure the player doesn't feel like they deserve it as much as if they were playing but what can ya do.Comment

Caron gave some guys some great pep talks? Kept a seat warm. Kept the trainers busy with the rehab
I don't care if people think "he won a ring" or not but honestly if some people here think that TMac's been out of the first round...He deserves to get a ring on opening night but he really didn't do **** to earn it.

If you don't think rehabing a serious injury isn't hard work you've obviously never had one. Yes the trainers are involved but it's Caron doing the work.Comment

But I definitely never said rehabbing isn't hard work bro.
I'm saying Caron didn't do much to earn that ring he's gonna get. Period. Sure he worked his *** off and sure he put in the effort to get back, but overall that didn't really do much to get that trophy. Of course he deserves a ring though, he was a Maverick for the year and he was probably a great teammate.
As far as him contributing to the actual season? Na.Comment

I have to imagine it's one of the emptier feelings of receiving a ring fully knowing you were hurt for 90% of the year. And Caron is a great guy, or so it seems.Comment

Re: NBA Off-season Movement & FA List (PG 1 Updated 6/29)
I've always thought that if I was a player on a championship team who was injured during the year and wasn't able to help them actually win a title (ala Caron Butler) it'd really bug me, knowing that I really had no part in winning the title.
Then again, it'd make me want to work 50x as hard to make sure we win the title again next year and that I'm a part of the reason whyBrowns

What did Caron do though? Seriously. That trainer did a whole hell of a lot more than Caron contributed.

Re: NBA Off-season Movement & FA List (PG 1 Updated 6/29)
he actually did a lot of "****" to earn it, he played 29 ngames mavs were 21-8 with him in the line up, that help determine their playoff seeding, if butler isn't in the line up who to say they even make the finals, they could of gotten a different seed and played a team that matched up perfectly with them. its not like butler had a oden season and not played at all, so yea he earned it. he contributed to the season.
That's awesome. Earned that ring for sure.Comment
