    Re: Highlight Reeling

This was a really interesting game for me to go back and watch. It is the highlights of the 2001 1st Round Game 1 Mavs at Jazz. I forgot about Dirk being so much quicker when he was younger and seeing lineups where Marshall and Dirk were playing the 3 seems so weird now given the way the game has changed.

      Oh lord...Shawn Bradley.

Really that clip shows how amazing it is that Dirk is still so effective. Those moves still don't seem to be THAT quick even back when he was that young, and the moves are pretty much the same as he does now, but he's refined them so much and perfected them that it doesn't matter how quickly he does it. And people may call him soft, but he's gained a lot of power since those days.

Some of the best commentating of all-time. Really captures the moment.

Jerry West with a game-winning steal and layup in the 1962 NBA Finals:

Hmm, that move at around the 2:00 mark seems eerily familiar.

He is noticeably quicker though and has a little extra bounce in his step. Not surprising seeing that was 10 years ago.

It was that turn around jumper that was so dangersous. You have to respect it. But once you do. The fake to fake to fake comes out. There is only so much you can do lol

That has to be Daniel's career best play!

But man... every guy that is know as a shot blocker ends up getting smashed on. They might block a dunk 9 out of 10 times. But that one time you get them. It's always nasty lol
