Hawks sale called off. Another vote in Stern's pocket.

I think Marino was talking moreso on the Jordan wanting a higher % of Revenue Sharing. Could be wrong.

Figures as much on the decert tweet there.

        Sam Amick - SI

"Last I checked , having 10-14 hardline owners means there are 16 to 20 more reasonable men in the room. Majority vote needed, so..."

Exactly. Much ado about nothing. No one said this agreement would pass with a unanimous vote.

Tyson Chandler talks about how the Owners' proposal would prohibit him from re-signing with the Mavs:

"With the collective bargaining agreement and some of the things that they're trying to enforce, it would basically prohibit me from coming back," Chandler told the "Ben and Skin Show" on 103.3 FM in Dallas. "It would take it out of my hands -- and the organization's -- because it would almost be pretty much impossible for me to re-sign. I just think that can be the worst thing that can happen."
What do y'all think about this? Is he talking out of his *** or is this something that could be a real concern? I'm not sure I follow why it would be so hard to bring him back. Is it because the luxury tax could skyrocket?

I'm not sure. I think Bird Rights have been settled and there are no restrictions on that. So it would have to be either the MLE or the Lux Tax that would be the thing, and if that's so...good. Unless he wants to take a huge paycut to stay, he'll have to move on. Too bad but that's business.

Still unsure if threats from Thursday call were meant to jar Stern/owners or Hunter/Fisher. Could be either. Or both. Garbled message.

Right, so all Cuban would have to do is use the amnesty clause to get rid of someone and he can keep Tyson

I'm not worried with anything involving Dallas. Those guys can keep whoever and whatever they need to.

Amnesty Clause Brendan Haywood and his ******** contract.

Problem solved, sign Kwame Brown as a backup Center.

Decertification, antitrust lawsuits, owners not willing to give more than 50...is today gonna be the first day of the end of the season or is this just pre-labor talks scaring tactics? We'll find it out soon.

i think its absurd for the owners to offer 47% to the players, I mean that's an entire 10% decrease from the last cba was kind of negotiating is that? I think the players offering 52 is very fair. If the season gets cancelled I put total blame on the owners....
