Hunter says league told players the offer will remain on the table until the players discuss it and decide whether to do next.

Hunter: "Its been a long haul. We're trying to come to the end of it and get this thing done."

Stern will speak next. Words to listen for: "Last and best offer" He hasn't said that yet, and union was unclear on whether that's the case.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
I would pay absolutely any amount of money to be in there or watch one of these 10+ hour meetings. I can't imagine what they're sitting in there doing or talking about for that long a period of time that they can't get this done. It's mind boggling. I'm not sure how you can meet with anyone that long and not kill them or get a deal done.As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"Comment

Stern, asked if this is last, best offer: "We took pains out of respect to the efforts of everybody not to characterize it that way."
KBergCBS Ken Berger
Stern: But if this offer is not accepted, we will revert to our 47 percent proposal.

Stern: Glen Taylor is on board with 50-50. So as I said before, those reports that Taylor was a hard-liner were incorrect.

Stern: we have made our revised proposal, and we don't plan to make another one

72 game season starting on Dec. 15th will require moving regular season back one week, playoffs back one week, Adam Silver says.
sam_amick Sam Amick
FYI, one of those NBA backchannel folks that indicated a deal would be done told me season would start on Dec. 15...which Stern just said.
WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Let me correct myself: Would require NBA to move back the playoffs one week, and the NBA Finals back one week, for 72 game regular season.
SpearsNBAYahoo Marc J. Spears
Silver: Playoffs and Finals would be moved back a week under revised schedule. There will be short free agency, training camp & preseason.Comment

Is it just me or does Adam Silver look like some form of half man, half rat creature? Anybody ever see the movie The Witches? Like the way the kid looked when he was changing.Comment
