Anthony Tolliver didn't sign decert petition: “I’m not against it, won’t say I’m for it. I’m on the fence. I still think we have time to get deal done"

        JerryZgoda Jerry Zgoda
A.T. on owners' ultimatums and take it-or-leave it offers: "That’s not negotiation. That’s a very large corporate form of bullying."

        JerryZgoda Jerry Zgoda
A.T. if this is all-or-nothing: “We’re not even into December yet. The season itself isn't in jeopardy yet. There's still time to negotiate."

If the NBA claim loses of 300mil dollars, why they aren't opening the books to the players and letting us see it?

I think it's time for us to give the NBA deal that we like and put the pressure on them. #decertify

D-League parameters discussed today were WAY over top, but all NBA teams SHOULD have two two-way players in addition to its "real" contracts

            ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein
D-League would look more like MLB minors while allowing some fringe NBAers to make 75K as minor-leaguers or rookie min if called up to NBA

            ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein
Leave rules for sending young players up and down as is. But let NBA teams sign up to two developmental players to two-way deals a la NHL

Forgive my ignorance, but didn't the NBA already open their books?

One man's lockout PREDICTION: Billy Hunter meets w/player reps then says union will hold full vote IF NBA first makes three TBA deal tweaks

                    ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein
What I know for sure: David Stern didn't arbitrarily arrive at 72-game offer. To have a season, I'm told, Stern insists on at least 70 games

                    ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein
League VERY unhappy w/50-game sked in '99. Sources say Stern has conveyed to union deal must come soon so 2011-12 game count can start w/a 7

Decertification update? Their plan called for using FRI to tally up signatures w/view toward filing petition Monday w/NLRB for decert VOTE

                        Unbelievable.

                        Sign the *** **** deal.

At this point any reasonably sane veteran player should get Elgin Baylor in that conference room and have him explain to them very carefully what he and the 1964 NBA All Stars fought for. They risked everything in their worlds by threatening to strike before the game tipped if the league didn't recognize the player's union. This whole fiasco is just so petty and stubborn that its astonishing these are grown ups.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

“[Decertification] is actually calculated to, one, [serve] as a tactic to improve their bargaining position and, two, making it even more likely that there won’t be a season,” Stern said. “If the union is not in existence, then neither are $4 billion worth of guaranteed contracts that are entered into under condition that there’s a union. So if the agents insist on playing with fire, my guess is that they would get themselves burned.”
Um yeah, It could be a threat but I wouldn't put it past these owners to void every single contract
