I hear you. I'd just caution them that they're not in a position of strength right now. If they're prepared to miss a season or two (just like the owners) to prove their point, all I can say is good luck.

Why? I dont get that at all. Why would casuals hold a grudge? In 2013, I'm not going to watch Lebron play live because of a lockout a year ago? That doesnt make much sense to me.

Hockey wasnt exactly popular before the lockout. The NBA will still have its TV deals so its not like it wont have the same high profile.

Stern "Players are hellbent on self destruction."

"Guaranteed years of litigation" "Lots of paychecks missed for players" "Union did not present offer to full body" "Mr. Kessler got his way"

My bro has been a diehard NBA fan for 25 years now and I can tell his interest in the league is waning.

I've been a diehard fan since I was 5 years old and my interest in it all is obviously souring.

I'm not so sure every single hardcore fan will be back.

                              I'm happy I've become a hockey fan.

Stern is being far too kind. He should've come out and just absolutely buried them like an avalanche.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"
