Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
I hear you. I'd just caution them that they're not in a position of strength right now. If they're prepared to miss a season or two (just like the owners) to prove their point, all I can say is good luck.New Jersey Devils- 1995, 2000, 2003
New York Giants- 1927, 1934, 1938, 1956, 1986, 1990, 2007.

Hockey wasnt exactly popular before the lockout. The NBA will still have its TV deals so its not like it wont have the same high profile.Comment

"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
My bro has been a diehard NBA fan for 25 years now and I can tell his interest in the league is waning.
I've been a diehard fan since I was 5 years old and my interest in it all is obviously souring.
I'm not so sure every single hardcore fan will be back.
I'm happy I've become a hockey fan.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
Stern is being far too kind. He should've come out and just absolutely buried them like an avalanche. As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"Comment
