Do you think the fans understand the players are making a mistake or do most think the owners are being greedy?
I won't venture into espn comments because that's worse than doing drugs.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
Serious question: So if the league misses a season, the Pistons are allowed to cut some of those bad contracts like Gordon and Hamilton and the Pistons become a playoff team next year....you wont watch the games because of a lockout?Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
I was talking about Stern
We have the anti owners beat writers out there looking for a gotcha quote which is why Stern is being careful.. see
Jonathan_Feigen Jonathan Feigen
Stern said "now there is no one to negotiate with." Wait, didn't you say you were through negotiating? You played hardball and lost.Comment

The only way to settle this is have Stern & Silver vs. Hunter & Fisher in hand to hand mortal combat. I'd pay good money for those tickets.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
Why does it seem most are for the owners? I think both are to blame but owners aren't going to be hurting like the players. This ain't nothing to the owners, they will make they're money somewhere else. The sports system is very flawed, it's breaking down. I'm not for either side because this was coming and neither truly knows what to do. Everybody is greedy, when things revolve around money and who gets more, it's going to get ugly. I don't know what the future holds but I think it's time people start getting they're priorities together. College athletes need to realize a education is what your in school for. A sports career is very short, get that degree, that 4 million you get after 1 year in college is still going to be there after 4 years. We need enlightenment in our youth, stop glamorizing that life and offer solutions so when things like this happen, they are prepared.Comment
