Damn. Another talent that got wasted because of injuries. He is passing up on a ton of money.

So if Okafor bum @$$ got thrown into the deal for the Lakers, would people like this trade more or less?

Sad for Brandon Roy. He could have been a great, and yet now he's resigned to retiring a good 8-10 years too soon. Just messed up....

It's funny honestly. We clown the Hawks every year in this forum for being a five or six seed and only being able to get to the second round of the playoffs every year with nothing to show for it, but the almighty Lakers have a trade blocked where they make out like bandits and now it's okay for the Hornets to basically be a crappier version of the Atlanta Hawks.
They are a crappier version of the Hawks with Paul right now! No trade out there right now will make them a championship contender. Even the Rondo deal keeps them as an 6th seed at best.

You're optimistic. Think they'd miss the playoffs entirely with Rondo.

Dan Gilbert's email was time stamped after Stern veto'd the trade, FYI.

Let's put it in prospective. The Lakers payroll for the year right now is 91.3 million dollars. After this trade it's 74.3 and the tax line will be 70.3 million. Let's say they do what you've been pimping they could do with the greatest trade piece of all time Andrew Bynum straight up for Dwight now because he KNOWS CP3 is there and says he'll only go to the Lakers and Orlando has no choice but to take what they can get or lose him for nothing. The Lakers payroll after that trade would then be about 77.1 million dollars. Sign another big with the MLE and yeah, I'd say the Lakers would've made out like bandits.

I caught that but it changes nothing in my opinion. Guess it gives the owners leverage to say you can't without reasonable doubt prove Dan Gilbert had anything to do with the veto, then cite Basketball Reasons

While you guys are still going back and forth over the trade that never happened, you're ignoring the important news of the day:

Candace Parker will be at Nets games courtside with Beyonce.

Let that marinate in your head for a second before you go any further.

Oh and in other news, we signed ugly *** Sheldon Williams.

Yeah but at least Rondo is a piece they can legitimately build around. Who the hell were they gonna build around with the pieces they got? Scola? Haha okay. Martin? Mmmhmm alright. Khole's boo? We'll ask Miami and the Clippers how that worked out.

Oh so now Orlando Definitely is trading Bynum for Howard straight up. Is this the same forum that has told me up and down that would never happen without Pau And Bynum? Lakers have no problem paying taxes, and if anything the league has screwed the Lakers twice in huge way over the last few months. Revenue Sharing and Basketball Reasons. League made out like bandits forcing the Lakers into sharing their revenue.

We are closer without this 40mil. There will be talent to sign due to the new tax rules. We have cap space to over spend on a salary like Rudy Gay and/or Greg Oden.

The NBA other than any league I'm fimiliar with is about superstars. We have seen Detriot win without 1.

Dragic has 1 year, Odom and Martin has 2 years under contract. What's to stop them from leaving or forcing us to trade them after next year? Clearly Odom doesn't want to be here. 3 out of 4 pieces by the start of next year anyways.
You looking at the Chair MAN!

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

Lakers fans talking about being screwed by the league is just so full of irony.

If there were any Kings fans anywhere, I wonder how they'd feel about this.....
