Oh, and just LOL at this:

The Lakers agreed to SURRENDER Pau and Odom. Ain't that some ****. Because yeah, it was really that hard of a decision to send two 30+ year old players, including one that apparently grows a vagina when the playoffs roll around, for a future HOF PG (albeit with a shoddy knee, but we all know that will magically heal itself now that dude is in Los Angeles).

Just hilarious. Thanks for wasting our time with that lockout, NBA.

EDIT: Also, I bet an infinite amount of fake internet money that Phil is back behind the bench before this season ends.
Lockout has nothing to do with players wanting to go specific places at the end of their contracts. Nothing could have changed that.

      That lineup scares nobody

Please for the love of god, can we not build up the Hornets for more than what they are LOL
Who is saying they are more than playoff contenders?

Stop putting words in others mouth's.

FYI, that guy with the Vagina is the main reason the Lakers won the 2010 Finals. When their star was going 6-24 in the last game, he was their one who was their most consistent player in that series.

So we would lost both Scola and Martin? Good riddance. I hope Daryl Morey can work more black magic.

            Wow..
Dragic is a good young point guard.
            Martin can score in bunches
            Ariza can defend
Scola is a great rebounder/pick and roll guy
Okafor can play really solid defense

Odom is one of the best 6th men in the league.

Looks to me to be a playoff team.

Edit x2, I'm an idiot, wrong team.

Nobody is putting words in anybody's mouth but it's BS to to think that current squad is a playoff contender when they're not.

So again, LMAO @ them being formidable. That team doesn't scare jack ****.

Don't forget about Jack off the bench. That team is actually deeper than the Lakers right now.

Morey is not there for the Rockets to win

If he cared they would've kept Rudy Gay but decided to ditch him and Stro for Shane Battier whom they dont have now

Expect Pau to be used as trade bait for mid tier players in a year

Seriously, Hornets will be a better team IMO.

New Orleans did well for themselves given the circumstances.

So lets say they made the Boston trade:

                            Rondo
                            Poindexter
                            Ariza
                            Green
                            Okafor

                            Is this a playoff team?

I really think your sleeping on OKC, the BUlls, Boston, and the Grizzlies. Not winning multiple titles won't make them suck...it would make them like the 90s Jazz or Magic.
Besides the NBA finals have never been like the NFL playoffs it is usually the same 4-6 teams.
How is that a good thing? It's basically saying to the fans of the 24-26 other teams "hey, we appreciate you being in the league and all, but you're not going to be a championship contender and probably never will be". How can you be a Bucks/Raptors/Bobcats/Pacers/etc. fan and have a positive outlook when you know you're likely never ever going to see a championship team because the league has set things up to stack the deck completely against you.

And I'm not sleeping on OKC/Memphis, I'm just saying it's going to be ridiculously hard for them to get additional long term help because nobody wants to play there. For every Kevin Durant you have that just wants to play basketball regardless of where, you have 20 guys likes LeBron and Carmelo who feel like they can only succeed in "big markets".
