Nah Pack, these posts weren't in line with 'no way does the NBA let Paul go to the Celtics' or 'why would the NBA trade him to the C's?' No these posts were specifically asking why the C's would trade Rondo as if Jameer Nelson or somebody was coming back in exchange. Paul can run an offense better than anybody in the league with only Deron being in his league and possibly Rondo. If Boston were to somehow swing Paul for Rondo there's pretty much no way it ends up being a bad deal or hurting the Big 3 in any way unless Paul trips and falls down the stairs getting off the plane to Boston and shatters every bone in his body.

Onto Dwight news. I really hope the Bulls have someway of being involved in this. Dwight is the guy that I'd give Noah a swift kick in the rear on the way out of town for.

Moreso an anomoly because towards the end of the season, he did improve significantly compared to how he started out.

Also remember that he battled Mono all of last offseason and lost I think about 15-20 lbs(which may not seem like a lot to us but in Basketball, especially for a Big Man that is alot). Don't get me wrong I'm not excusing his play because it was awful at times but I don't think that's what you'll be seeing from now on.

Regarding that deal: I will take back Hedo and his contract if it means getting Duhwight here.

And King, I don't know you might be looking a bit more into that than any of us are. It's not that folks don't understand how much better CP3 COULD make Boston, but moreso trying to figure out why Boston has been trying so hard to move Rondo because from the impression we get, it's not like he's causing a scene in the Locker room or with the Media or proposing toasts or whatever.

You raise a good point. I didn't look at it like that.

So what happens if Brook from last year is back again this year? Can he overcome two seasons like that or is it pretty much a wrap for him?

How can the Magic turn down that deal? They get Lopez, two 1st's and clear a ton of cap space once Howard, Hedo and Arenas are gone.

            Could this trade actually happen?

If I had to put money on it King, I'd say you'd get the Brook you seen toward the end of the season. He's already one of the best at his position offensively although his post game can improve somewhat plus not to mention, he's only 23 so he has plenty of time to build upon that.

I don't think he'll be a dominating Center or ever be a guy who can build around and win championships with but I think he can be a very good number 2.

I see glimpse's of KVH in Lopez. He is easily bullied and outplayed by lesser skilled players. I like his game, but as long as he is on the Nets he will be considered their #2 guy but IMO he is a #3.

I don't really care for the Russian other then the fact that he is willing to spend. He reminds me of a cocky count dracula.

The Nets will be 10 mins from my house when they come to BK so I'm pumped about that

Actually, now that I look up the numbers, he played 26 mins and 29 mins the next two games and only scored 14 points total, so yeah I'm gonna agree, although I'm still debating with myself whether he'd still be an asset as a non-primary scorer with flashes of dominance.

He turned in the best 30 mins of ANY player in the NBA last season not named Dirk......he was unstoppable. If he's okay he's a top 10 player...maybe even top 5.

But that's the whole problem...he's not okay. He's basically got no knee ligaments. You can't fix that.

                        A damm shame.

I would love to see this happen, I'd actually like to see the nets win some games this year so if they could have Dwight and Deron on the same team I'm sure they could win some games, if not I'm sure Deron would be out of there as soon as possible

Worried about Ainge dealing Rondo. His court vision and his defense are best in class, and when he's on, he gets the rim and creates for everyone. Can't argue Chris Paul wouldn't be an upgrade, but does anyone else think that he's undervalued by his own GM? Maybe the kid's a headache, but he's really, really good.

I think DWill is resigning with the Nets regardless of what happens with Dwight.

I think Dwight will use the Nets like Melo did to leverage himself over to Hollywood. I can't see the Magic, who don't want to trade Dwight, trade him inside the Eastern Conference.

I don't get all the hate for Rondo. Yeah, he seems like a diva.

But his game? A defensive PG who doesn't care about scoring and likes to get his teammates open & easy shots? I'll take him any day of the week.

Paul would have those dudes looking like 20 year olds again or did we not just see his performance in the playoffs and just generally over his career?

I can see if they're trying to make a Rondo for Paul deal or trying to acquire Dwight, but anything other than those two deals seem boneheaded to me. Rondo is the engine that keeps that car moving.
