I don't agree with the contract but I think Chandler is going to be huge for New York....

If Amare just gives effort on both ends of the floor the Knicks will be scary and IMO better than Miami because of TC

Of course TC has to stay healthy but i think he's over the foot injuries now...

I wish him the best of luck love his passion and energy on the floor....it also looks like they are targeting JJB another guy who plays with big time heart

Mann not too long ago everyone was saying how great gasol is an arguing how he's the best pf in the league, that Kobe was lucky to get such a great player. Now that the lakers are about to get Chris Paul all of a sudden gasols overrated an all this crap. Without gasol, Kobe would have less rings. Reading this thread has given me a ton of laughs.

Just because he has a wife and couple of kids doesn't mean he's a normal family man.

Unless he's in Denver, he's away from home for what...6 months of the year sporadically. The man knows this.

But for him to sit there and bitch and moan about being salary filler is pathetic at this point in his career.

I read that the Knicks could've bought him out for $4M back in May. That was before the Amnesty clause which will allow him to still make his $14M this year and get at a few million more by signing with another team.

        WTF is his problem?

So he's telling teams don't pick him up because he'll be a cancer?

Retire then dude. Pack it up. Give back the $14M and call it a day because your little feelings are hurt. You can spend all the time with your loving family after all.

Bill Simmons just posted that. He thought it Indiana could be another plan. I would actually prefer that for my sanity. I think I would have to step down as one of the admins of OS if we got Howard.

Idk, you're probably looking at the topic in black and white. When people were raving about Pau a few years ago, it was through a different prism.

You're still implying that he should be happy he could make 14 million next year.

Money doesn't make of break everyone in the world, you know. Maybe you're the type of guy who'd disregard loyalty for the bigger check, I don't know.

I never said I agree with the way he's coming out and saying this. But how can you disregard his reasoning?

What, because he should be happy he could make 14 million next year while hard-working Americans struggle to find a job?

Seriously, lets just get off the topic.

@ESPNSteinLine has confirmed Mavs did a Sign & Trade with New York. Mavs get huge $12-$13 million trade exception.

Hmmm does anyone think New York is trying to get Howard out of the Eastern conference here?

I mean they signed Chandler and they know New Jersey is trying to get Howard....If your New York do you want Howard in New Jersey/Brooklyn

The Mavs may not get Howard but this looks like New York is willing to give them extra ammo to play with to me

Forgive me but I just don't see what assets the Mavs have to trade for Dwight as it sits team to team.

As long as he's a defensive presence and boards, he could get his 8 garbage points a game and I think we'll be happy with that.
I don't think he was, that was more for Felton, Wallace and Jackson I believe. His defense was damn good, just foul trouble hurt him.

Sorry, buddy. I was never one of the people claiming that nonsense. Gasol was never better than Dirk or Dwight during his time in Los Angeles. ****, before last year he wasn't even better than Tim Duncan. He's highly skilled and has a high basketball I.Q., but was overrated as soon as he put on a Lakers jersey. He's mentally and emotionally weak, needing Kobe and Phil's encouragement to play at a high level.
