So good role players who do the right thing don't get taken care of right? Randy Brown didn't get an opportunity as an assistant for the Chicago Bulls right? Guys don't get to come back to the organization as ambassadors, or front office guys or apart of their D-League affiliates or commentators or the like? Players know there'll be points in their careers where they'll be traded in efforts to improve the team, that's the business of basketball. Players are going to leave as free agents as well, that's the business of basketball. However leaving like a jackass and doing things that holds the team and fans hostages of these guy's egos isn't apart of that business, so flipping out because guys are sick of seeing players doing this stuff is pretty much as pointless as most of you guys feel those of us being upset about it is.

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
I think its time for an athlete to make staying with their own team popular. The crap that lebron did to the city of cleveland was classless. And building a superteam with his buddies wade and bosh may have hurt the league more than it helped. Now other stars are going to have to be on superteams in order to win championships. This is why I hope the great will never win a title with wade, lbj and bosh. ImoComment

IMO Blake has that "drive" or "will to win" that Dwight seems to be lacking.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Please stop acting like this hasn't been happening in the NBA (or hell in sports forever). The only difference here is the everyday man has more access to the media. Guys leaving to make super teams isn't something new. Stop acting like LeBron, Bosh, and Wade invented the wheel.
I hear no complaints about them joining up and winning titles. Then again, Ray Allen doesn't "Crab" dribble so I guess they get respect.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
For the hundredth millionth time......
There was a difference between what happened in Boston and what happened in Miami.
And just so we don't have to go down this effing road again, it's because Wade, Bosh and LeBron had a plan to join forces in Miami. LeBron might have said during LeDecision that he chose Miami on that day, but there's a reason him, Bosh, and Wade all signed shorter-term extensions that allowed all 3 of them to become free agents at the same time.
Boston, however, made trades for Allen and Garnett. It was strictly the front office teaming those 3 guys up, and not the players themselves plotting to do so.
I guess you can also throw in the fact you have older veteran players who have gone to war for their teams for around 10 years without having won a title compared to younger players who have gone to war for their teams, but haven't suffered for as long as the other guys or "paid their dues" or whatnot.
That's the difference. Some people may not feel as strongly about the whole scenario as others (myself being one), but it's been over-discussed for the past year and a half and it's tiring hearing about it.Last edited by BlueNGold; 12-17-2011, 12:26 PM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Wow
After an aortic aneurysm was discovered, forward Jeff Green will have surgery and miss the 2011-'12 season, Celtics say.

On another note, appears the Pistons and Rodney Stuckey have agreed on a 3 year, 25 million dollar deal.Comment

No. I think Blake has more "Social Appeal" already than Dwight Howard. Plus he has an almost unlimited offensive potential. Dwight is peaked. He is an amazing post Defender and an extremely erratic score.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
I thought it was a good question though because its something that could possibly net the Magic a real rising star to build around and probably not a better one out there they could get
Doubt the Clips even bother with trying that thoughComment

According to two high-ranking Western Conference officials and a high-ranking Eastern Conference official, Nick Young is seeking an annual salary in the range of $9 million per season – and few teams have the funds or the willingness to pay him right now.
“I do hear his price tag is pretty high,” one Western Conference official said.
Young averaged a career-high and team-leading 17.4 points per game last season for the Wizards, the highest among free agent shooting guards.
