Ah, there is an extra week...

Ok, I'm beginning to feel better about the Spurs...the optimism may be misplaced, but one can hope....

Anderson and Splitter should be rotation players this year after making improvements in their games..

Basketball gods, I know you were lenient last year, but can we get ONE more relatively healthy year out of. Timmy and Manu? And please let Pop let Leonard develop...

Learning more about BRI and all these other things that I was perfectly happy being ignorant about! Also emotional trauma and I think they stole one of my kidneys.

No loyalty in sports? My *** there's no loyalty in sports.

Tell that to Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Chipper Jones, Derek Jeter, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, etc.

                There's plenty of loyalty.

EDIT: again, just to clarify, it's not exactly about loyalty. It's about how you carry yourself. Ray Bourque's example is perfect. But my point about loyalty in sports existing stands.

And if given the opportunity and the right price, they would be leaving San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Houston, and Arizona.

Would they? Are you insinuating that those guys haven't had the chance to leave their respective cities and act like the other people that so many of us are complaining about? Because they have had those opportunities. And they haven't.

Doesn't make you a bad person, but everybody has a price.

                        Agreed.

Duncan, in the prime of his career, turned down Orlando and other teams to stay with the Spurs.

Dirk was a free agent before last year and re-upped with Dallas.

Durant signed an extension with OKC well before he could become a free agent.

Crazy as it sounds, some guys actually like the smaller markets and have no desire to play in NY or LA.

Never said it makes you a bad person. You can leave, that's your choice. But acting the way some people act is what makes them bad people.

No way Dirk could have got more money last summer but he re-signed with Dallas for a lesser contract to help the Franchise. I also believe Duncan has done that in his career in San Antonio...

And I live in Phoenix and there are a lot of pro atheletes who love Phoenix Area...it's not LA or New York but I don't think our city takes a back seat to those places. Also, Dallas if you have visited or live in the city is great place to reside aswell.

He'd be a solid replacement for D.Stevenson in Dallas playing the same role
