He's a superstar, whether anyone on this forum likes it or not.

Unless any Joe Schmo can become the face of an NBA franchise.

BTW, Tomorrow is the last day to amnesty players otherwise you have to wait until the end of the season to do it.

          Regarding the CP3 thing.

The man wanted to be traded because the team around him was not going to win or contend for a title enough said, he avoided this all throughout his years in interviews, etc as best as he could. He didn't do anything that was primadonna like, he handled this with class and wanted to do what was best for him and the team which is why he stopped asking to be traded to the Knicks because he realized it wouldn't happen as it couldn't happen due to the trade assets available. What's the big deal with him being traded or asking to? He didn't demand a trade or he'd sit out, asking to be traded benefits both sides as CP3 gets his wish and the Hornets can rebuild faster

Just because he wanted to play for a contender or with a more talented team does not make him a primadonna, sorry that he's not a guy like Dirk or whatever and play for 1 team most of his career not everyone is lucky enough to be on those type of teams.

He did more for the city of NO and others then almost anyone else in that city besides Drew Brees, hate him all you want but it's just stupid to he's one of the nicest superstars in the league.

I will say that Paul handled his trade or no trade situation far better than Melo did.

Also we can't put all of those ESPN or reporters rumors about what the player or his agent or his dads friends said all on the player. For all we know most of that crap could be made up. What I hear the player or the team say hold far more weight than what some ESPN or other site rumor reports.

I still can't believe I've lived to see the day someone willingly wanted to go to the Clippers in a trade and they aren't a half bad player to boot.

That Blake Griffin effect, it's like a psychoactive drug. Amazing...

It's funny, I didn't really see any Hornets' fans complaining about how bad a person Paul supposedly is.
Acted like a primadonna punk. Engineered this a long time ago. The wedding speech. Made New Orleans a complete afterthought years ago. Threw a fit about Boston, said LA and NY. Then when he didn't get LA or NY, he said "Oh I guessssss LAC is fine." Then he talked about not reporting to camp when he didn't get his way, pouting, huffing, and puffing his way. Then talking about suing the league for some reason, as if he has even the slightest semblance of a case.

He shouldn't have to request trades. New Orleans knows that if uis contract is coming up that they'll have to deal him if they want to get something for him. If he doesn't like it, he can play his contract out then go where he wants later or he can retire, give up his millions, then go to whoever he wants to. He has absolutely no right to act the way he did and neither do these selfish, entitled bull**** players. And frankly, it bothers me that anyone even thinks this is okay and that Paul and these losers have acted even remotely acceptable, because that reflects a deeper problem in our society.

And now he wants to act all gracious? He wants to be classy about things? What a charade. He's fake.

A deeper problem in our society?

It's sports for crying out loud. Adults getting paid millions to play sports. That's number one for starters if we wanna talk about what's wrong with society.

When you get paid a fortune to play a game, you can't expect to play by the same rules as everyone else in society i.e. playing out contracts and what have you.

I may not think he's "all class" this and that or the other, but I think some of you guys seem a bit too upset. CP3 gave his heart and soul to the franchise and city for his entire career up to this point. So he didn't play out his last year? Calm the hell down, lol.
