    Oh I know.

With that I'm pretty sure the Bulls stay as is after the deadline. They still have Rip which is around 16PPG and once he finally comes back to play it will be like acquiring a new player. I wouldn't really trade any off this team and not sure else what they can even acquire.

I can only wish the Lakers were this naive. I don't know, maybe the Bulls would get lucky on this one? It's not like there has never been idiotic trades before.

Yeah but you're trading the same position here for the same one so it's clearly seen who gets the better deal. I just ask why and there's nothing from the LAL side to answer why? Unless the Bulls included CJ Watson but even then...

Honestly at that price tag I don't want Gasol anywhere near this team. I don't care if he is an upgrade over Boozer. He would kill our cap for the next three years and we wouldn't be able to amnesty him if his play drops. Thanks but no thanks. I would much rather keep Boozer and have the option to amnesty him if a chance to land something better comes along.

Well, the CJ Watson thing was put in the story to spice up the deal since the Lakers are having PG issues. CJ Watson is better than any PG the Lakers have on their roster right now. BUT I agree that the deal is lopsided, even with Watson. Teams have traded players just for the sake of trading them. The Lakers did it this year with Lamar Odom. This probably won't be the case with Gasol but one could only hope.

I don't know...if Gasol can help the Bulls to a championship this season then it would be worth it. Despite the inflated contract.

Lets just say this deal could happen or any deal where a upgraded 4 comes back for Boozer and Watson. Is it worth giving the backup PG role to James and Lucas? That's dangerous. I trust in James but not for major minutes. And not to play along side Rose like Watson does sometimes during stretches. And Lucas, well, he runs around sometimes like someone cut off his head.

John Lucas pisses me off so much sometimes. I like the little guy, root for him to do well, but he shoots entirely too much. Too many times I watch him breaking out all his best dribble moves and then driving right into traffic with some horrible layup that has no chance of going in unless your name is Derrick Rose or Dwyane Wade or a pass off to Kyle or somebody only to throw up a three the second the ball touches his hands again during the possession.

I thought it was pretty funny when he ran full energy and busted out a couple dribble moves at the end of the Atlanta game. While everyone was walking off already, Kirk went back to defend him as he must have thought Lucas might have gone for a free lay up. lol

I think it's worth it. Sometimes, championship teams before they win it all need to take gambles on a couple of deals. Pistons took a gamble on Rasheed Wallace and won it in 2004. The Mavs a couple of years ago traded for an aging Jason Kidd, who helped them last year win the championship.

The Bulls are in a sticky situation because as presently constructed they are a championship contending team. BUT so are the Miami Heat. A team I still have doubts that the Bulls can beat in a 7-game series. I mean, a couple of things has to go right for the Bulls to swing the pendulum their way in the a playoff series against the Heat. BUT I'd feel better if they had a guy like Gasol to add some extra firepower on both sides of the ball.

Now when you mention upgrade at the 4, I'm talking about a significant upgrade. And an upgrade that would benefit the Bulls and fit their style and system. Kevin Love is a better PF than Gasol BUT he wouldn't be the fit the Bulls would need right now. Same with Blake. Gasol and possibly Aldridge would be the perfect fit at the 4 for the Bulls right now.

And let's not overvalue the back PG spot. Consider that this is a team with one of the best PG in the league right now. For a team with an elite PG, how much more does a backup PG need to do? Yes, it's valuable now because of the injuries BUT when playoff time comes Rose will be seeing the floor with no less than 40 minutes a game. We have been spoiled with the play of CJ Watson because he is a luxury when it comes to his play as a backup PG. BUT necessarily, all I want my backup PG to do is not turn the ball over and make the occasional shot here and there. With Rose out the game, I'd feel a lot better with an elite 4 being the primary option.

                        From left field.

ORLANDO, Fla. — There's at least one team apparently still with a need for Rasheed Wallace.

CSNNE.com has learned that the former Boston Celtic forward plans to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Wallace hasn't played in an NBA game since Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, alerting the C's shortly before the game that he planned to retire.

Although he had two years remaining on his contract, Wallace and the Celtics came to terms on a buy-out of the remaining years believed to be worth about $1 million.

His return to action has been rumored for weeks, fueled by a decent showing at Pro-Am tournament in North Carolina this summer.

It only became heightened by, according to league sources, a renewed conditioning regimen that apparently has him looking better than he has "in years."

With a roster of 14 players, the Lakers can add Wallace and not have to worry about waiving a player to make room.

His addition will likely fuel rumors that the Lakers will become even more aggressive in their decision to trade away Pau Gasol.

However, a front office executive whose team has had both internal and external discussions about Gasol, said the addition of Wallace will only be to strengthen their bench.

"His days as a starter in this league are gone," said the source. "I think he knows that, and so do the Lakers. But think about it. Of the big men that are available, is there one that's really better? And if he's gotten himself in shape, adding him becomes a huge get for them."

Perplexed Sheed is getting signed before the PG issue is fixed.

                        /hangs on tight.

I don't see how he's an upgrade even over Murhpy. There is no way he is anywhere close to hoops shape. Might as bring on Walker from the D League. At least he plays.
