Now if we don't have to give up Marshon, then i'm all for it. The Knucklehead is better than the stiffs we got out on the court now. Plus...he rebounds. No really. He rebounds. Something the Nets don't do.

All valid points, but I think with the emergence of Brewer as a scoring threat, or at least what he has shown in these first 7 games and Rip starting to find his groove, the Bulls will elect to keep their front court depth and roll the dice with what they have. Which still looks pretty good to me.

If it does happen and they trade for Ellis, which for all I know could be in the works right now, then that works too lol

Funny that Kaman didn't know what a real professional management team felt like. Basically just spat right in the face of LAC's ownership.

I think that was the point.

I don't see how the Bulls could possibly justify trading for Ellis. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he a bit of a headache character wise? Also he's used to splitting the primary scoring role at worst in a shoot-whenever-you-feel-like-it offense. Would he be willing to actually take a clear-cut backseat to Rose in a more structured system? I can see them maybe working for a season or two, but after a while I'd imagine that relationship would get frayed. Truthfully where he'd be best is coming off of the bench, and I kinda doubt that'll happen.

The Bulls are sitting SO pretty right now. They need to just let it ride for the season, see what happens, and hope that the Bobcats lose every game this season. Chances are that pick is going to be top 7. They've still got the amnesty clause (which is hanging over Boozer's head like the sword of Damocles) and they're young. Even if it doesn't work out this year they've got plenty of wiggle room to do something in the off season

                  Bobcats pick is protected.

Also Rose new extension almost certainly puts them in cap territory next season if I recall correctly.

I think Taj Gibson's development on offense is gonna determine whether they use the amnesty clause on Boozer. It wouldn't make any sense, unless they would be able to pick up another PF with offense and better defense than Boozer next year.

Man, I forgot we still have that amnesty clause laying around.

Maybe the Bulls are thinking about it with the reduced minutes that Boozer has been getting late in games.

I'm tellin' you, up until he got traded, other than the whole CBA issue at the time, what's the difference between this right now and the entire Melo situation? You'd be surprised at how similar they are up until Melo got traded.

Ellis would probably have to be a part of a deal to get DHoward
