Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
But Drewski, everyone else said this wouldn't happen. They said Lamar Odom has no trade value. They said that about Pau too.
The bottom line is the Lakers have assets. You guys may not value them but they do. Thats why they have Paul now. Assets get you better players if you use them right. NY would have Paul right now if they had more assets. GSW or LAC would have him if they gave up some of their assets.
You're telling me with a straight face that the NBA-owned New Orleans Hornets wanted to acquire Lamar Odom in a trade of their All-Star franchise player?
Bruh...give it up already.Comment

this is exciting to me lol, I hope they get dwight so everybody will get off my team(Heat) back. I think the expectations will be higher for the lakers this year than it will be for the Heat.
Christmas can't get here fast enough !!!!!!Comment

I'm telling you they did and they just showed me they valued him because they ****ing traded for him. They could have done the deal without Odom. The finances worked. I actually think including Odom hurt their chances to get Bynum so you know LA didn't want to give him away if they didn't have to.Comment

LOL. I'm so tempted to use the search function and find previous posts from people who claim that if X trade happens they are done with the NBA. A ton of people said that when the Miami team was put together. The Lakers could get Howard/Paul/Griffin and Jordan in his prime and you would all keep watching.Comment

I'm not so sure. My love for the league has very clearly dropped slowly but surely, especially since Game 3 of the 2007 Semis. Only thing that keeps me coming back is not the storylines or the way the league is conducted but the fact that the NBA is still has the best quality basketball and my love for my team that simply can't be turned off. If I was one of those guys who never had a real team to root for and watched just to watch, I really truly would have been done a long time ago.Comment
