New Orleans GM Dell Demps is "disconsolate" over this stunning, heavy-handed move from the commissioner's office, source tells Y! Sports.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Because it's absolute BS that a trade was -nullified- that clearly wasn't even a great ADVANTAGE for the Lakers. Lost all of our depth at the 4 and a guy who logged plenty of minutes at the 5 (Pau when he rotated in for Bynum). Why is it fair that this was blocked. Would they have blocked the GSW trade? The Clippers trade? But it's the -Lakers- and in a trade that actually left the Lakers looking questionable aside from having Paul, they've nullified it. Why? Because it's the -Lakers-.
The CBA, the lockout, nothing can stop the players from leaving and going elsewhere.
Congrats. Bunch of owners whined to Stern and got what they wanted. Way to go. Learn to GM and own and team and stop drawing lines in the sand while talking about making your trades. Not anyones fault but "your own" if you didn't pull the trigger for Paul. Guess it makes a ton of sense to force Paul to stay in NO and then leave for nothing. (And the Hornets got pretty damn good value if you ask me)Last edited by Drewski; 12-08-2011, 10:36 PM.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Marc Stein is on now talking about will this be the case where the Owners will now weigh in/complain on every trade?
This imo is gonna have a trickle down effect. Not good for the league imo right after a lockout.
At the end of the day the Hornets are the ones that really got screwedThe poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment
