Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Hilarious and so true. My question for you guys that are good at speculating and breaking all these things down numbers wise is this...
What exactly happens now? I know it is a business and players try to learn not to take things personally but c'mon.
Gasol and Odom aren't going to be thrilled to go right back to a Lakers team that just traded them. Does some other deal go through or does this still end up happening one way or the other?
Explain it to me please you NBA breakdown wizards.Comment

Where was the owners when the Lakers got Gasol for a bag of potato chips and a Pepsi? This trade was not nearly as bad.. Hornets got 3 good players + Dragic + picks.. If anything, the Rockets is who would of got screwed..Comment

I changed my mind. I bet the REAL reason the deal is off is because they know the only possible way to do this is with a 1 hour TV special.

The only reason the deal is off is because Stern isn't happy the Lakers didn't get Dwight too.
Just after midnight we'll hear ******* Broussard: "Sources say Lakers, Hornets, Rockets, and Magic agree to blockbuster 4 team trade that sends Dwight Howard and Chris Paul to Los Angeles"

Chris also got way too much credit for breaking the big 3 in miami story. I remember Stephen A. saying that was going to happen weeks before it ever came together and ESPN tried to gloss CB the real insider and gave SAS no cred.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

This is nuts. This was a *BAD* trade by the Lakers, but other owners so jealous of their shiny object they blocked it anywayFollow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Oh well, just get ready for the Howard to the Lakers move.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

The Grizzlies weren't owned by the NBA. If this trade went through the Hornets would've added $55 million worth of salaries that the other teams would be on the hook to pay for.Comment
