What draft picks does NJ have left anyway?

And I doubt they'd be lotto picks because if they get Dwight, they're going to the playoffs regardless.

Yeah, I don't see that New Jersey deal being accepted by Orlando unless they get to the trade deadline and get really desperate for a good offer. But by then I think they'll have piled up much better offers.

        Chris (take it FWIW) Broussard:
Let all the CP3-to-Boston chatter cease. CP will not sign long-term ext with Celtics, according to source close to situation.

Score: The NBA is going to give all trade exemptions their lost time back.

Which means the Cavaliers still have a $14.5 Million exemption. That could be big for some teams that REALLY want to clear space.

              Like, say, Portland. Or Orlando.

That deal is all on Duhwight at this point.

If Otis Smith goes up to him and asks him what he wants, he needs to be up front to him and tell him he can't do it here no more and that he wants to go.

Likewise for Billy King, if the Magic aren't ready to make a deal yet then you move on. You can't let this linger on like he did with the Melo Drama last year where literally every player on the Nets' roster had the possibility of being moved and that affected their play.

I'd give King all the props in the world because it at least shows people that the Nets are serious and you still got all your cap space and picks to go out and improve this roster. The Blueprint For Greatness is already there, now it's just a matter of actually building on it and right now is a good opportunity.

That being said, I don't see this deal getting because this would require Otis Smith operating on logic and we know Otis Smith Logic is different from common sense logic and I expect them to let this go up to the trade deadline even though this is probably the best offer you'll receive where you can get back rebuilding parts AND get Turkoglu and Arenas' contract off the books in one swipe.

Ainge is a control freak and the guy will trade away the substance of his team for seemingly bone headed reasons even though it would cripple the offense and defense

In this case I do remember Rondo going all Steve Francis when Perkins was traded, so maybe Danny is thinking of the future and moving along..who knows

Sigh, The best part of the lockout was not having to hear about all the different places Dwight could go.

I think the nets would need a third team to complete this deal, Brook, Morrow and two first rounders aren't enough for DHO imo

So it is way to early but I'm wondering what will be this year's surprise trade.
I'm hearing conflicting reports about whether Nene is going or staying. Guess I have to wait and see...

Why would Chris Paul want to join Boston? In a years time they are going to be in a major rebuilding process.
