    Damnit ya'll leave Nene alone!

Let him come to the Nets where he can get paid and then proceed to stink it up because we're the Nets.

I may be beating a dead horse here, but why the hell don't the Bulls get in on the Howard sweepstakes? We could easily offer the best deal by far to the Magic as far as valuable assets.

If we dumped Deng and Noah for him, it would end up being pretty much a wash on payroll, and would still allow us to go and get a guy like Jamal Crawford.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

You didn't get those two rings because of him. Stop over selling him.
doesn't discredit that he is a drafted, homegrown talent. and no one said the rings are because of him, just that they happened while he was on the team.

I hated the deal as much as the next guy, but damn thats sum BS. Not surprising though as it would be a slap as for all intents and purposes the NBA owns the team. I'm sure once an owner is lined up all bets are off.

also LOL at running to the NBAPA.

For people that think this is the first time Stern has done something like this, google up "David Stern Juwan Howard".

Not the first time he's done some stuff like this.

I think Hayes got a pretty good offer from the Kings also. If so it's either Dalembert or starting Thabeet...or Jordan Hill lol.

Wasn't that because the Heat miscalculated the cap?

The NHL has pretty good parity nowadays. MLB seems like it's getting better considering teams like the Rays have made the World Series. They're still top-heavy though with the Red Sox, Yankees, etc, of course.

I think a hard cap would have helped to prevent these types of things from happening.

This is going to get ugly. I wouldn't be surprised if he sued and asked for an injunction either Friday or Monday. Stern has to find a way to get him to LA.

                            Not to mention:

                            Elgin Baylor
                            Jerry West
                            Magic Johnson
                            James Worthy
                            Vlade Divac
                            Elden Campbell
                            Eddie Jones

                            Just to name a few.

Lakers draft pretty well, guess that's why they've sustained and always have had assets and talent to work with.

MLB is just as bad. The Rays made it to the WS one year but 2 yrs later Carl Crawford signed with the Sox. Its just as bad if not worse than the NBA.

Those dang lakers, being the only contender who doesn't draft any good players.

I agree, if we had like 4-6 less teams there would be a better spread of talent. That and less big 3s, more big 2s.
