Yeah and I wouldn't be surprised if Dwight has quietly made it known, or has spent his time up to this point debating, what he intends to do. I'm confident Dwight Howards #1 preference is far and away with the Lakers, and only because Orlando has failed miserably to provide him with a quality cast. Don't think it's suddenly some "big secret" that Dwight's #1 preference is LA. If he wants it he will get it. And I don't think he'd have had any problem saying he would only extend with CP3/Kobe in LA.

Also, shouldn't "the league" be interested in what's in the best interest of New Orleans? This trade is only being rescinded because the Lakers are "winning" (if by winning you mean trading their entire 4 rotation and the size that has gotten them 3 finals and 2 rings).

Point of Argument lies here: While the league owns the Hornets, this trade should then be strictly looked at from the Hornets point of view in regards to whether it should be vetoed or not. Fact is New Orleans received probably the best trade they could have for CP3. The league should only be able to vote on this deal in regards to how the trade affects New Orleans.

Yeah, so automatically the Lakers = only team that can provide a sufficient supporting cast. As mentioned above. This ain't 2k12 brah, make due...

I think Orlando's best shot was with Lewis. God only knows why they traded for volume scorer in Areanas with a deal more terrible than Lewis'. They were at their best with Lewis/Hedo/Howard. Hedo and Lewis were matchup nightmares during the season they went to the finals. I feel they should have rolled with that group. Not that it would get them to the finals again but they would have been better than what they turned out to be I believe.

Hard to see Howard staying there. Especially with the horrible Areanas and Hedo deals on the table. Assuming that Howard stays he'd get maxed out and you'd have him and Areanas making 20+ mil, and Hedo making 11-12 mil. Then Jameer making 8. You don't have room for anyone else. When the new Lux. tax kicks in would Orlando willing to pay the tax for another significant contract?? I don't think so.

The league wants to make money off NO before it turns into a sink-hole after Chris Paul's departure. If the Lakers and their fans were confident with their team they wouldn't be pulling strings to generate a trade that hinders the rest of the league. Like others have said, there are more people in the NBA than Bynum, Odom, Gay-sol, Howard and Paul. If the players want to play the ransom game, **** them. Cleveland bit the bullet with Lebron. Other teams will have to follow. If you can't satisfy your stars, you don't need to send them to the Lakers at a bargain bin discount.

Those 29 owners have diminished the value in NO even further. The 29 owners need to be looking out for the best interest New Orleans in this trade, not of the league. Why? Because every team trades on a team basis, not a "this is whats good for the league" basis.

Only thing about that picture I'm shocked, disappointed and frankly a little pissed at Pack about is that he has that photo and actually had the audacity to post that photo with that LOL over Jordan Farmar's head and allowed 'Not LeBron' to be over the head of Travis OutLOL as he's been pushing around here.

What up Pack, man? What up man? I thought I knew you bro lol.

Take it you missed that post with the column on how the Hornets are an investment for the NBA at this point as well since they own it and it's better for them if he's not traded cause they'll make more money with him there.

The only team losing in that deal imo was maybe the rockets. Hornets actually got the best. They would actually be a better team imo.
