I guess Nene is a good consolation prize.

      Gotta do something

Someone will pick him up, he's only 29. Still got a lot left IF his head is in the game.

Honestly - and I don't know if it would work - but I think the Lakers should explore picking him up. He can still score and I don't THINK he'd mind playing with Kobe Bryant. However, I'm not sure how Arenas' ego would exist with Kobe's. But a team with a clear need at PG or Scoring should seriously look at him on a 1-2 year deal basis, to see what he can do.

I really think he can regain at least 75-80% of his All-Star form if he re-dedicates himself. It's sad though that he was a surefire star 5 years ago and, though injuries helped, he let some scrub essentially ruin his career.

What makes nene so special? I'm not knocking him its just I've rarely seen him play thats all.
If I recall correctly, nbaplaybook.com did a study that showed that Nene is one of the top 5 players in the NBA when he has his back to the basket. I think he was actually #3 behind Dirk Nowitzki and one other guy (might have been Carmelo, but I can't remember).

And Nene is no slouch defensively either.

Watching the Grizzlies conference and of course they asked them about the CP3 - Lakers trade and if the players have any ill feelings.

They all looked around at each other.... No Comment...

Wait until Derrick Rose resigns with the Bulls. I think that's the main reason guys like CP3 and Deron Williams want to leave for FA next year. The Bulls are gonna set the bar.
