Well because Rondo isn't a sufficient scorer, they would have to get a third team involved surely. Plus, not so sure the Celtics would be willing to take on Turk.

I wouldn't think the Bulls would mind taking Turk, since we need another decent scorer and outside option. Don't know how his salary would affect his cap, and the money won't be available for Derrick Rose to resign, so I'm not so sure anymore.

Pretty sure the Bulls would be able to still sign Rose even if they took back Turk's contract. They'd just be in luxury tax range.

Chauncey Billups, reportedly scheduled to be fired by the New York Knicks to clear salary-cap room for Tyson Chandler, will consider retiring from the NBA if he is claimed off waivers by a team he deems undesirable, according to his agent.

That's cool, then the Bulls should definitely explore giving the Magic Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson for Howard and Turk. Maybe some other players/picks sprinkled in but those would be the main players.

The the Bulls would have a lineup of:

Derrick Rose, Jason Richardson (possibly?), Luol Deng, Boozer, and Dwight Howard.

We'd still have Watson as the backup PG, and Turk could serve as a sixth-man, or J-Rich if Thibs decided to start Ronnie Brewer or Bogans at the 2.

Brandan Wright may be a Maverick. Numbers aren't so bad considering the minutes played. Could be a decent fit.

well atleast they are stock piling a lot of young talent and who knows maybe they will get lucky and 2 of these guys actually pan out some point

Man, Billups sure has become a bitch later in his career.

He's been in the league for almost 15 years. What exactly does he gain from signing with a team that isn't contending? Plus, he has a wife, I believe, and family. Who wants to uproot their family, remove their kids from school, etc. Especially when he JUST did that last year, going from Denver to NYK, and why would he do it again to go to a team that AGAIN isn't contending? If the Lakers claim him, then you consider doing that deal. The Clippers or Magic? possibly. Not the Cleveland Cavs or Indiana Pacers, haha.
