Interesting at our differing views haha.

You have a valid argument as well. Kaman is on the books for only one more year...

If they matched a high offer for Jordan, and then had to take care of Blake/Gordon, that would pretty much be your trio going forward. Kaman probably wouldn't be retained next year.

IDK, I look at Jordan as one of those centers who's about to steal a whole lot of money that he doesn't deserve and will never live up to. But if he stay hungry and be a Tyson Chandler type, that's not too shabby.

Agree. No way the show falls that's way, just like it wouldn't have fallen that way for Dwight.

I think it'd be great if we threw the money at Marc instead, because I think it'd be fun to watch the brothers create mismatch nightmares starting alongside one another. The problem is the Grizz would match any offer I'd imagine.

This is getting more absurd by the minute

You dont have to keep asking why people miss the 80's and 90's

Its gone full blown WWE at this point...circus trades, guys who are supposed to be respected veterans threatning retirement, people ring hopping, guys whining and threatening not to report to camp, and a sham lockout that accomplished exactly what they said they didnt want to happen

All of this under David Stern's watch in just a couple of months...

This guy needs his own movie

The trade should look like this:
*salaries all work out according to ESPN Trade Machine

                  Rockets receive:
                  Pau Gasol

                  Lakers receive:
                  Chris Paul
Emeka Okafor or Jermaine Oneal (pending C's sign & Trade for D West)

                  Hornets receive:
                  Lamar Odom
                  Kevin Martin
                  Luis Scola
                  Goran Dragic
                  Devin Ebanks
                  Derek Character

NO would probably get Houston's 1st round pick, as well, but that seems like a lot for Houston to give up for one player.

Just to play around with it

                    CP3/Kobe/Lamar/Oak

                    or

                    Fish/Kobe/Lamar/Pau/Bynum

I think just by frontcourt depth alone, you would have to say keep things as is but... it would be interesting to see CP3/Kobe/Lamar/Oak... I think I wouldn't be too upset with that.

2 non all star bigs? Pau Gasol is a perennial star and Bynum has all star talent and only needs to remain healthy (really the only point of debate against Bynum). I'm not sure I follow, are you saying Bynum and Gasol isn't actually more than what Cp3s value to the Lakers is? I'd rather keep Bynum and Gasol as a Laker fan than trade for Cp3 unless Lakers are receiving more than CP and rags.

No way Mitch Kupchak let's that happen. Lakers would be better served waiting for the multitude of talented players who can become free agents and then clear cap for them than decimate our front court entirely. Cp3 would be the future but he's not the only one out there and he's got a bum wheel as well. Can't see Mitch being so short sighted at this juncture.

It doesnt matter man... all you care about is the Lakers getting a one up anyway

I hardly even care to talk to LA fans anymore because most are unreasonable at a time like this.

... I've been here my entire life so I already know the thought process... I meant exactly what I said up there, and not just the one part that you pulled out of the entire paragraph. It all goes into one lump to me.

If they start Derek Fisher for another year, Steph Curry, Monta Ellis, Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holiday, Kyrie Irving, Brandon Jennings, Ty Lawson, Steve Nash, Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose, Kemba Walker, John Wall, and Russell Westbrook will eat him ALIVE.

Derrick Rose get's first dibs though
