I don't know much about this kid but making the team is a nice feat.

This doesn't happen every day: Undrafted rookie point guard Julyan Stone of UTEP made Denver's opening day roster.

For that young undrafted point guard to make a squad with Ty Lawson and Raymond Felton already on it, that's a hell of a feat. Good for him.

Ah, yeah. I forgot about that deal Denver made with Portland for Dre Miller. Thanks for the correction.

Nice under the radar move. Won't forge us into a contender overnight or anything, but we aren't as woefully thin at PG now. Hate to see Q-Pon go, but Aminu has more upside and talent and should be betting loads of minutes since we shouldn't be doing anything but building up our talent base this season. He gets to become Sam Young-lite now.

This squad in action will be an interesting sight.

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)

I know I posted this hypothetical before (and just so nobody sees this and thinks it's actually being considered, THIS IS STRICTLY A HYPOTHETICAL), but the more I think of a trade with the Kings for Dwight, the more I like it.

The Kings can offer, DeMarcus Cousins, JJ Hickson, and Tyreke Evans or Jimmer Fredette (plus draft picks if necessary). At the same time, this would leave them with the following lineup:
                  PG: Fredette
                  SG: Marcus Thornton
SF: John Salmons (or Garcia if he's being considered the starter)
                  PF: Jason Thompson
                  C: Dwight Howard

I think that would be enough to be a playoff team. At the same time, the Magic would be getting easily the best deal of anything they currently have on the table.

The biggest challenge would be convincing Dwight Howard to extend with Sac-town, but as I'm thinking about it, perhaps telling Dwight "Listen, I know it isn't LA, but we're close to LA. We have one of the most passionate fan bases in the league. And we would have a playoff team that already complements you well with all of the shooters that we have (and if they could keep Evans instead of Fredette, they could argue that Dwight would have a legitimate Robin to his Batman).

Maybe it's just because I'm so tired that I'm getting delirious, but I feel like maybe this wouldn't be as crazy as it sounds.

That would only work if they moved to Anaheim.

These arrogant, pretentious losers would never agree to go to Sacramento.
