...and again, you keep making the same point I am, which is why im starkly against that article.
the same applies for the Heat

Regarding the Heat, you don't blow up period and that includes firing the Coach, especially after 2 damn years of possibly getting to the Finals. But let some of ya'll tell it, they fire Spoelstra and everything will be solved for them as opposed to putting more responsibility on the players themselves(which it looks like me and Ex are the only ones on here who do that).
I happen to think responsibility belongs to players as well, but the fact of the matter is Spo is a limited coach and has probably taken the team as far as he can. How long do you stick with a guy like that? The Pistons dumped Carlisle after making the ECF twice in a row and remaining contendors and hired Larry Brown which took them over the top. Its no different for a guy like Spo who hasn't won anything to warrant constant defending.

Again, unless you know for sure you can get a better option, then it's stupid to fire him 2 years in especially if he gets you to another Finals and it's stupid to blow up the team 2 years in.
I dont know who's making themselves available out there but I surely wouldnt roll with this guy til the wheels fall off either.

Alot of the games these guys are winning is halfway based off of talent, because I've seen plenty games where Wade and or Bron had to have super games for them to win because of lack of offensive strategy, and even Ray Charles could see that.

Mind you, in regards to the letting Perkins go thing. This was after a major knee injury, a tearing an ACL major knee injury in one knee and straining his MCL in the other in a contract year where he went on to sign a 34 million dollar deal with the Thunder all that after turning down an extension from the Celts earlier in the season. So it's not like Perk was just humming along fine and dandy when Ainge said '**** it' and shipped him off.

And we're talking about all these guys Ainge shipped off, who'd he really get rid of? PJ Brown? Cassell? Didn't they both retire after getting they're rings? In 09 they still had everyone from the championship team minus Brown and Cassell so how we gonna clown the team for not having extra help when Garnett went down on a team a year removed from a championship? Didn't Powe get injured that same year?

I think you're just wrong on this one 23.

But wasn't Larry Brown leaving the Sixers anyway that year?(Asking here because I don't know for sure) I remember hearing then how his legacy was in question because he coached so many teams but had yet to win a ring and next thing you know, Dumars called him and he was the coach of the Pistons.

I dont know who's making themselves available out there but I surely wouldnt roll with this guy til the wheels fall off either.

I'm not expecting them to roll with him the entire time they have those 3 together. I just don't expect them nor would I think it's smart to fire him, even if they come up short in the Finals again. UNLESS you start hearing Wade(not Lebron)going up to Riley and telling him it's time for him to go ala Jason Kidd/Byron Scott in NJ.

King B I know what Perk did.. that wasnt the point man. The point was the depth was decimated and with each loss so was their chances at winning. You cannot sit there and tell me PP Ray and KG (who got injured in the process) had to play far too many minutes because the depth wasnt there

My original point stands... you don't talk about blowing up the Big 3 because they didnt win in the 1st or 2nd year (still quesntionable), especially when the talent hasnt been fully put together yet... They're main big man is freaking Joel Anthony for goodness sakes.

Pack im not sure about LB to be honest. Again my beef is not about the coach, its about the article I dont agree with the premise of the reasoning for blow it up, and we do agree...arguing the semantics of the C's isn't changing the principle point that this article is way off base.

Unless you know for sure you can get a better option than him, firing him at this point is basically saying that you're afraid to admit that this project is a failure, especially if he gets you to back to back Finals. But at least I know if they do go back or if they do win it, he'll have nothing to do with it according to some of ya'll.
He got outcoached, he's just not as good a coach as Carlisle. Him "getting us to back to back Finals" is on pure talent alone. Same situation as Scott Brooks. His late game play calling is ATROCIOUS. The Heat have a better bench, seem to be more fluid, still lack a big man, and LBJ is ballin' this year, so if they do lose again, who's left to blame? Spo. (while not taking any credit away from who beats them)

Well, I mean...you never can guarantee success lol. You can't say "well only fire him if we know well successful with the next man". Same way you can't guarantee the player you trade for is going to make your team better. It's the nature of the game. If your that cautious , you'll never make a move

I'll disagree with BTH saying he's the only one left to blame....Im saying he's legit not optimizing the teams talent...it's pretty annoying to watch as a basketball fan. I'll say the same thing about the Thunder too...I think both teams will win on talent more than coaching...

But very rarely will teams win titles on talent, so if they fail this year, it's time for change.

Just watched the Blake Griffin and Wilson documentary .

Stuff like that always make me have a different view on a player.

Even if he's Blake Griffin the flopper

                          I guess it wasn't really a documentary.
