The Rockets need to find out whatever substance Jimmer is on and inject a strong dose into Royce when he's not looking.

BTW, that must be Jimmer's "I finally get to have sex" dance.

I dont even know if Royce knows what he's really advocating for anymore. Im pretty sure hes entered "whatever it takes to make THEM look like the bad guys" mode.

If he has a phobia of flying, he can go to therapy to work on it. What has he done on his own to fix his problem? What did he expect would happen when he made it on an NBA team? Ridiculous

Maybe I'm just getting things wrong here but uhh....why the hell is he talking about safety and his issue is a fear of flying?

Royce seems to want a doctor to have final say on basketball decisions for Royce in his contract.

This is a Rockets blog though so not really official word...

I hope the Rockets find a way to void White's contract. If they release him, they might have to pay him. He doesn't deserve that.

Don't know how true it is but there has to be some smoke/fire somewhere in there especially with the recent comments

Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant just can’t get along, and there’s a team in Brooklyn that might be waiting to pick up the pieces.

A league source told the Daily News that the Lakers stars got into a heated exchange following a New Year’s Day loss to the 76ers, and Bryant went for a low blow – referencing and agreeing with Shaquille O’Neal’s criticisms of Howard being soft.

Howard was restrained from going at his teammate, according to the source, and there have been rumblings from the center’s camp that he’s been unhappy with Bryant since earlier in the season.

I dont think these two have ever really liked eachother

Meh, you could see this coming (LAL)... I called it to friends back when D12 first got traded to LA that this wouldn't last and that they would be a 40-50 win team at most (with Brown as coach) still gonna stick to that though.

Reason I had this notion is that I seen an interview (local channel) with all the new players and the question the reporter asked to every new player was "who's team is this" and they all replied Kobe except one, take a guess who. D12, he smiled, laughed and then said its the teams team. Right then I knew he had an ego issue and this was eventually going to show itself. Kobe ego vs Dwight ego = LAL implosion.

True but nobody really saw this happening man. The egos aren't affecting the team as much as the defense is as well as the turnovers.

I'm going to go ahead and say after last night Kobe needs to call himself The Black Hole... taking 26 shots to score 29 points. Dude is out there playing more iso ball than Joe Johnson continually.

I'm not even sure it's an ego thing. I'm not convinced because to me Dwight Howard would have made it clear if it was an ego thing.

I think Dwight is mostly immature and doesn't have the will to win like few athletes with his talent level. And I think Kobe is seeing it first hand and hates it because he knows if Dwight would just have his hunger, he would be better than O'Neal.

Kobe and Shaq had their issues, but I think many let O'Neal do his lazy approach to the season because he did have the hunger and showed it when it mattered and everyone knew that.

Howard, like others have mentioned, doesn't have it. He's not an Alpha Male, but he's being pushed around by one that feels he should be an Alpha Male. To me Dwight is getting frustrated with being asked/demanded to behave/play with a certain passion (he sees his career stats and thinks "I'm 20-14-2. What do I need to change?") and Kobe is getting frustrated because he can't get that fire out of him.

But who knows. Maybe Kobe is willing to fight the guy so Dwight can be angry and play that way. I wouldn't put it past Kobe (considering comments he's made about leadership in the past) to agitate Dwight at this level just so it can translate on the court.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
