That's crap man, How many times did Kobe's lazy defense cost them in critical possessions? He doesn't deserve 100% of the blame but he dam sure deserves his well share.

I never put blame on Kobe. Just said he shouldn't be the primary ball handler.

I know. The Magic and Cavs took advantage of that this year.

So apparently, the Heat held a team meeting to address...Rebounding.

Not really sure how a meeting would solve that when rebounding is all about being in proper position and effort and that can only be addressed by either practice or signing/acquiring someone who's strength is rebounding.

While they were never an elite rebounding team, they haven't been this bad, and their personnel is pretty much identical to last year..so effort is something they can definitely talk about....effort is just as mental as it it physical...

I'm sure they went over some scheming to help the cause as well.

They should've known this was going to be a problem when they decided to be fast break team.

Hard to rebound when either D-Wade or Lebron are constantly leaking out and not putting a body on anyone. All it takes is a disciplined player to stop the opposing big man and let said guard or forward scramble to get the offensive rebound (especially if it's a long rebound).

His transition D is so freaking annoying. If the opposing team gets out on a fast break, it seems like Kobe is always the last one back on D. He'll try some lame steal attempt at the start of the break and just says f*** it. No hustle at all. None.

I have no doubt in my mind this is why we are not only a worse rebounding team than last year, but a worse team defensively. I've said all year to put Joel back at starting Center.

If im not mistaken LeBron leads the team in rebounds.

The problem first off is that the Heat has decided small ball is more important than what got them a ring. As sucky as he is, Joel Anthony shouldn't be getting less minutes at C than Chris Bosh.

That and couple the fact that the Heat didnt even try to get another big to help inside

Yes he averages 8.5 and Bosh averages 7.6, which as much as LeBron leaks out you wouldn't think he'd lead the team.

Luckily the Heat are the best shooting team in the league at 49% so we have less offensive rebounds available to get beat on.

This was Wittman after the Nets loss. Someone's very frustrated.

Small ball won them a ring though, without question...

The problem is Spo thinking this strategy should be a full time thing, rather than it simply being an adjustment they made against the Thunder...

I agree BTH, since they started playing Joel again l, they've looked a lot better defensively. But he still racks up 2-3 minute nights though, makes no sense. You guys just dropped Terrell Harris thought, maybe a pick up is in the works...,still hopefully Riley can talk Pso into tweaking his philosophy, we know Spo won't do it on his own lol
