So you think trash talking shoudn't be a part of sport?

I mean if everyplayers where to behave like Kevin Durant I think the sport would get pretty boring at some point. They're human.

I'am pretty sure it will get to that point in a few years, it will be like Tennis where you basically have to behave like a robot or else you get fined. It's kind of sad I think.

Again, this is within the confines of a basketball game people.

This is not out in real life. He didn't say this on the phone or to his face at some public place in all seriousness. It was mind games being played in the realm of a competitive sporting event, and it worked.

I'am asking you if that's what you think.

Because how do you draw a line? How would people know for sure what KG said? Not easy.

You know what the most effective trash talking is?

Saying your opponent sucks, then going out and proving it at any and every opportunity. D-Wade punked the **** outta Carmelo last year when Wade ripped him up then Melo missed like 3 shots in a row. You think Wade wasn't in his ear the entire time?

You think Jordan wasn't in his opponents ear telling them "You can't guard me" then going out and dropping 50?

You think Larry Bird and Magic didn't talk ****? Larry was the biggest trash talker of them all in his prime.

You know the difference between them and Garnett? They didn't HAVE to cross the line to become great trash talkers. They went out there and proved it to the point where you really thought you weren't ****.

Jordan always coming out as the perfect athlete.

Perfection is sad and annoying. But that is probably what sports will be in like 10 or 20 years from now.

Agree with DukeC. Trash talk is fine of its actually kept in the confines of the game. "You can't check me", "I'll drop 40 on you no problem", or "I'm just looking around to see who comes in second" are fine. That's the game.

This was personal. If you guys don't think it's wrong, I guess that's cool. But if someone were to say something like that about my wife (in the future) I wouldn't like that **** one bit.

Bottom line, KG is a bitch. He always has been and he always will be. Is what it is. I fully support Melo in trying to fight him, and I support the inevitable suspension because he did in fact go against the rules. It's whatever.

I don't like KG at all and I think his whole act is lame, but no I don't think he should be fined or penalized. Guys gotta tune it out.

The only time Garnett WOULD get away with saying a thing like that would be during a basketball game and he knows this. Kudos to Garnett I guess.

Oh and btw, why did Pierce had a technical in the first quarter (I believe?). Is it just because he was talking on the bench?

Is that kind like when Duncan had a tech because he was laughing on the bench?

Theses refs need to seriously chill and focus more on their in game calls.

Wow... I guess some people don't know how to seperate reality from a game

That's sad... if you have to go after somebody's family to trash talk then you don't need to say anything.

There is absolutely no way to justify it, and its not funny at all.. Its amazing you're the only one laughing.

Depends wich way you look at things because I could say the exact same thing about the way you react.

No way Carmelo should fall into this. I'am sure he woudn't if he wasn't having such a bad game.

I guess personally, it's no worse than I heard played various games online.

Heck it's not even worse than what I heard during my days as a Wal-Mart employee from customers.

I don't think it's right, mind you, but I don't think it's as bad as some people are making it out to be.

Notice how I brought up D-Wade first?

Then how I brought up Jordan (who D-Wade looked up to)?

Then how I brought up Magic and Bird (who whooped up on Jordan something vicious during their primes)?

But yes, what is it about Jordan? I'm not understanding. The only other jerkwad like Jordan is Kobe and nobody is following in Kobe's footsteps so...

But no, every once in a while you get that quiet superstar like Tim Duncan or a Durant and while they might not outwardly express their passion that often but you can tell by how they play they are playing "mad" because of how utterly dominating they are being.

They don't need to talk trash, because they would rather shut you up.

I know for a fact Kyrie talks trash. James Harden might. Westbrook is an entity unto himself so I don't know about him. Demarcus Cousins does. Chris Paul does. I know I'm forgetting other guys that talk trash, but you get the gist of it.

You can get a tech on the bench. I don't have a problem with that. The tech Duncan got was ridiculous because it was just Joey Crawford being a punk like he always is and trying to be the damn star of the game as if people are paying money to come see his golem looking ***. Guys can bark and keep running their mouths from the bench and you can T them up, Joey didn't hear Duncan saying anything about him or to him and he decided he wanted to blow his whistle because of course Duncan laughing and talking on the bench with a teammate HAD to be about Joey.
