Watching Rubio play in last night game was so refreshing. 12 assist. Man everytime I think the Passing Point Guard is died we get another awesome one. Some of the passes he hit last night were just 5-10 year veteran stuff.
Who will be the rookie of the year?

He's pretty much the PG I always wanted to be. It's so refreshing watching him control the game the way he does.NFL: Bills

One thing I love about his passing. Is that he actually throws "no look passes". I'm not talking about "look away passes". LeBron and a few others throw those passes. I still consider Magic the best at it of all time.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?
It's going to be a two-player race all year long; Rubio and Irving. But I think Irving will eventually win the ROY.
Rubio has passing and court vision abilities like Rondo IMO, and he Rubio is a premier play-maker in the NBA today; I see him putting up points and assists stats similiar to Rondo's maybe.Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors

Maybe. But they did award Rose the MVP so who knows
Every award has its own criteria. I think ROY has traditionally been about points
MVP doesn't seem like its all about pointsComment

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?
Oh, really?
So the fact that Kyrie has a 3:1 Assist to Turnover ratio, shooting nearly .500, .400 from 3, scoring at a great pace and having the best PER for a Rookie since Michael ****ing Jordan, Ricky Rubio should be a lock to win it?
No. No he should not.Last edited by OSUFan_88; 02-08-2012, 08:04 PM.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?
I agree with you that Kyrie should be ahead right now but your numbers are off. His assists to turnover ratio is actually a pretty bad 1.6(Rubio's is 2.87). His PER is also still less than Tim Duncan, Webber, David Robinson, Shaq, Chris Paul, and Blake Griffin as rookies.Last edited by PrettyT11; 02-08-2012, 09:36 PM.Comment

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?
I remember when Rubio was the talk of the town. With him sharing time with JJ. He won't get the same chances as Kyrie does to shine. It sucks but's the truth.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

In terms of caliber, I feel like Rubio is on that track to become a Rondo type impact player while Kyrie can maybe become a Tony Parker/CP3 lite.Comment
