I think Wall is in the same branch as Rose, so if Rose can close, Wall can close. He just needs to expand his range.

Rose has gotten a dependable mid-range game and a respectable outside shot. Wall was statistically the worst shooting PG in the league I believe. Wall is more of an athletic point guard. Rose is more of a do-it-all kinda guy.

I agree with you there. I do believe Wall can do it all as well but his jump shot is horrible. I don't remember but wasn't Rose's shot pretty bad at the start?

The first year it wasn't very good, but he improved a lot quickly, and it was better from the git-go than Wall's. Wall has awful footwork when he's shooting and I think he might palm the ball too (which I suspect is one of the reasons Royce White is such an awful shooter too).

Rose had a bad jumper, but then spent the summer before his MVP season shooting three's for what I heard was 30 minutes everyday to improve.

My boy Wall going to get it together...he has the work ethic to,. just need to stay out of them streetball games...plus I think with him going over to play the USA team as being part of the select team will mature his game...Ariza who saw his shot a couple weeks ago said his shot look ten times better as it did towards the end of the year.

Yeah, I think Wall easily has potential to be better than Rose. I think he's naturally a better passer and defender, and if he makes decent strides in his jumper then he can be just as good as Rose is offensively.

At this point I think it will come down to surrounding him with more mature and talented players and getting rid of the headcases like they already have with Arenas, McGee, Young, and probably Blatche.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that, depending on if Deron Williams stays in conference, Wall will make an All Star game next year, mostly because Rose is out, but also because his assists should jump up.

A Irving-Beal backcourt could potentially be great, but I dont want us to trade 4th and 24th to move up 2 spots, especially when MKG/Barnes or Drummond could be their at 4. All of them would help the Cavs in a certain way. If CHA wants to draft Barnes or Robinson, give them 4th and a 2nd rounder, but dont trade 3 picks for one.

Trust me and DON'T ride on Ariza coming in and producing for your team. After watching him for the last few seasons I noted that he is more of a defensive, explosive presence. Jump shot isn't that great no much he claims it has gotten better and he shouldn't be a starter. Unless a team thinks he has Thabo Sefolosha level defense (WHICH HE DOESNT) he shouldn't start. MKG will be 101% better than Ariza could dream.

This is the reason I don't want MKG (waits for UK fans to come in and sing his praises). We don't need another bad perimeter shooter or even someone who is great 1 v 1. Wall will have the ball in his hand the majority of the game.

I think SOME people are still killing Barnes for what he was supposed to be as opposed to the positive things he can do.
But I'm already aware of the few positives that he can do. The problem is the things that he does do well aren't enough to justify him going #3 to the Wizards.

Beal should be Plan A, B and C(hyperbole here)and if he's not there then they're better off trading down because while you probably won't find another player like Beal, you'll have a better chance finding another player like Barnes later on in the Draft.
