If the cavs feel beal is their guy and believe he will be a better player then MKG, then by all means go for it. I wouldn't let the 24th pick hold me back as you can find rotational players anywhere. There are some players who were complete steals such as ibaka and rondo in that range, but I think the majority were just role players.

I don't think it'll happen though. Wasn't MKG the talk of the cavs front office before the offseason even started? I think they'll sit tight and pickup whoever falls to them at #4 whether it's MKG beal or Barnes. I don't want any part of Barnes though. I'm preparing myself for the worst so I won't be disappointed come draft night. Davis, Beal, MKG will be drafted top 3 in whatever order.

Kind of a cool stat that I just heard on NBA TV:

In games where PJIII made one three pointer, he averaged 21 and 12.

In games where he did not make a three pointer, he averaged 12 and 6.

Some reason doesn't surprise me, very much looked like a guy who needed some confidence during games.

These are all rumors don't think it's true but some are saying Pau Gasol to the Wizards for the #3 pick in the draft. the Lakers want Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

This would probably happen if the Wizards don't get Bradley Beal

the Lakers are also trying to move Metta World Peace for a late 1st round pick.

Hell, I would do that trade, then package the 24, and two 2nd rounders and try to move up.

I can't see them taking on Gasol's contract, plus they already have Nene, Okafor, Trevor Booker, and Kevin Seraphin. And I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. Maybe if the Lakers take back Aundray Blatche LOL

There seem to be a lot of guard/combo guards that will be available when the bulls pick at 29

Hopefully they end up with Barton, Doron Lamb, Fournier, or John Jenkins

They'd be the same, old Wizards(which isn't good) if they took Barnes.

Other draft buzz from conversations with executives and agents with the draft a little more than 48 hours away:
                        * After Anthony Davis goes to New Orleans with the No. 1 pick, the next four picks, in some order, will be Thomas Robinson, Bradley Beal, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Harrison Barnes, sources say. The draft really begins with the sixth pick, with strong indications in recent days that the Trail Blazers would take Damian Lillard of Weber State. But in the past 24 hours, two other names have surfaced with respect to Portland: Dion Waiters and Austin Rivers. That could be an indication that Portland is considering trading the pick.
                        * Cleveland wants Beal and has offered the No. 4 pick and either the 33rd or 34th pick to Charlotte for the No. 2 pick, which would allow the Cavs to jump ahead of Washington and land the Florida guard. The hangup is that Charlotte, not in love with anyone available at No. 2, wants Cleveland's 24th pick. Cleveland also has had conversations with Sacramento (No. 5) and Golden State (No. 7), but the Charlotte deal makes the most sense and sources say there is enough momentum and desire on both sides to get it done. The Bobcats like Robinson and Barnes, and at least one of them will be available at No. 4; if Cleveland got Beal with the second pick, Washington might take Barnes at No. 3, sources said.
                        * Waiters is one of three players the Warriors are considering with the seventh pick.
                        * The Raptors would take Waiters with the eighth pick, but if he's gone, sources say Toronto would take Rivers or Jeremy Lamb.
                        * The Pistons would "absolutely" take Andre Drummond with the ninth pick. If he's gone, Detroit is believed to be comfortable with John Henson or Tyler Zeller.
                        * Rounding out the top 10, the Hornets are believed to be targeting Rivers, Lamb or Meyers Leonard, sources said. The wild card of the top 15 is Jared Sullinger based on concerns over a medical issue with his back.

I think Barnes would be a good fit for them actually. They need someone that can put the ball in the basket. Barnes can do just that.

And regarding the buzz, man, I think someone is going to end up being pretty disappointed in Waiters. Don't think he's worth a top 10 pick at all. I get that he has potential, but I just don't think he'll make it as anything more than a 6th man, and I think he's a terrible fit for the Raptors.

Good to see the Hornets are going with my thinking, wing scorer or take another big man.

I thought Leonard was overrated, but after watching some tape I think he's worth the risk alongside Anthony Davis in this draft.

If I'm the Cavs I'm not trading up unless it's a second rounder along with the 4th. No way am I throwing in the 24th. To the Cavs right now the 24th pick is too valuable. We could get a solid role player there. Well that's at the worst. The best we can do is package it with Andy and flip it for another lottery. I would LOVE to get that Golden State pick at 7. So let's say we sit out on trading for Beal. We take the consolation prize of either Barnes or MKG (burn me at the stake but I'm still saying Barnes at this point, however it's halfways irrelevant to the argument). We could then take at 7 Drummond, Waiters, Rivers, Lamb, Moultrie, Leonard?

Personally my dream draft is either a Barnes and Rivers or a Barnes and Drummond combo. Hell I might even go Waiters.

I just see too much value in keeping that 24th since I know we could probably flip it and if not we could still get a solid role player to groom with our core of Kyrie, Tristan, and the 4th pick.

Man, Gasol dwarfs the lot of those guys, lol. I don't think they should grab him either for the #3 and the size of his contract. But if those things aren't an issue, of course you take him and do what you need to to trim the others. The criticism of Pau is WAY overblown. Guy's a baller lost in the shuffle with Kobe fighting to give up the #1 option title and Bynum growing into it.
