If the Mavs were remotely interested, they'd have to give up Dirk because Finley, Walker, or Jamison wouldn't cut it. Now maybe a combination of Jamison and Finley would work but even that's stretching it.

Kobe could just go to the Grizz without the Lakers having to trade him there. After all, Kobe has a great rapore with Jerry West. I also think that Kobe will want to go into a much smaller market then LA after all this crap has happened to him.

Dirk by himself wouldn't cut it either, they'd probaby have to add nash, but the trade would never happen cause the Mavs need big men and the Lakers would need a shooting guard. The only thing thing that makes me want Kobe to stay in LA is airtime, cause if he goes to a smaller market or a crappy team, I'd have to buy League Pass to watch him play. LA is on TV all the time

3 young talents and a first round pick. that would be perfect compensation for a player of kobe's caliber.

and it would be a perfect start for a rebuilding team.

Right now i think the grizzlies have an abundance of young talent, more so then any other team. Plus if anybody could pull it off, its jerry west.

This sounds to me like Kobe want's out of LA. I honestly think Kobe feels as if he's not respected in the organization as much as Shaq. I also think Kobe dislikes this version of the triangle offense which is design to get Shaq the ball, and play to his strenghts, where in Chicago it was a very different triangle that focused on getting Jordan a perimeter player the ball. And if the Lakers do trade Kobe which I doubt, but if they do it would be for another shooting guard/small foward not a power foward even if it's Dirk you have to replace Kobe's position as well.
