This sounds to me like Kobe want's out of LA. I honestly think Kobe feels as if he's not respected in the organization as much as Shaq. I also think Kobe dislikes this version of the triangle offense which is design to get Shaq the ball, and play to his strenghts, where in Chicago it was a very different triangle that focused on getting Jordan a perimeter player the ball. And if the Lakers do trade Kobe which I doubt, but if they do it would be for another shooting guard/small foward not a power foward even if it's Dirk you have to replace Kobe's position as well.

SoMiss, did you buy your ESPN NBA '2k4 @ the gamestop on beltline....around noon, wearing a Southern Miss shirt?

also, to the other guy... where-ever kobe go's, he'll turn the team into a main-card....trust me, that team will be on Nat TV regularly.

"Man you are absolutely crazy. Dirk would more than suffice. He's one of the Top 10 players in the league (argubly Top 5) that can play 3 positions. I know you think highly of the Lakers but take a timeout to think before you speak"

And Kobe in unargubly a Top 5 player, and argubly the most talented and best all-around player in the NBA, Dirk would not suffice. Kobe Bryant is also a more popular player, which does count for something. Think before you talk.

Dirk would be a perfect fit for the triangle offense.
