In the end, they are both wrong. Shaq has no business calling out his teammates in those closely veiled ways, if he had something to say, tell him and not us.

And I watched the two games Kobe played and didnt like the shots he took as he was forcing the issue forgetting he had 3 other stars on the floor. Its possible he was taking bad shots, but its also possible he was using the game as practice. That said, he better settle for more modest shot numbers this season, 20 ppg on 50% shooting would help the lakers more than 32ppg and 44% shooting.

Shaqs comments would have been certainly more appropriate if kobe was still doing that crossover and pull up crap, ignoring payton on the left, karl on the high post and shaq downlow during the regular season. You cant start judging your teammate after 2 preseason games. Although, knowing Kobe, he would still have taking some of those shots in the regular season.

Its the diesel's ship, he should LEAD his team and not bicker through the media

You dont rip a player committed to being in shape for coming in out of shape because off season surgery (and other self-induced problems) eliminated offseason workouts. The same self proclaimed most dominating big man got his *** handed to him by Tim Duncan and the only reason the lakers had to get karl and gp was the slipping performance from shaq. if they had won 3 times with no suppport, what changed? I dont disagree with the message of telling kobe to tone it down, but please let it come from jackson, payton or malone, not from Shaq, an under-achiever with only one mvp as the most dominating big man ever for the past 10 years.

Kobe better listen. Shaq is the main reason Kobe gets to take over games like he does. Shaq frees up the lane for kobe... Shaq IS the man. It IS his team. I dont even like the lakers, but Shaq is the man.

I agree 100% with you. If Shaq had half the work ethic of Bryant he would easily be the most dominating player in league history. How can he complain about anyone being out of shape when he comes into camp last year at around 400 pounds? What an idiot. If he has a problem with Bryant he should talk to him not the media.
