Yeah, I thought he was born in Brooklyn; that's honestly why I mentioned the possibility of them trading Melo to the Nets for Brook Lopez and some other players or picks. But idk how that would work.

Funny thing is before the trade all you about Melo was Baltimore (down to the WB tat on his chest). Since the trade he's from NY...lol. I didn't even know he was born here until he got traded here.

I get that thinking too I guess though. At the same time though, eight years is a long time to live somewhere too, it's not like he was brain dead or something and remembers nothing about his life at that point. Some of the most memorable moments of my childhood that I can remember are like...times from when I was five to eleven.

                  Relevant.

Any team looking to find a starting PG in the 2010 NBA draft had best win the lottery and get the top pick. A year after the legendary PG draft of 2009, the pickings for playmakers are going to be thin. That doesn’t mean there won’t be a player or two who surprise the experts though.

The best candidate to pull off such a surprise might be Harvard’s Jeremy Lin. The reason is two numbers Lin posted, 2-point FG pct and RSB40. Lin was at .598 and 9.7. This is impressive on both counts. These numbers show NBA athleticism better than any other, because a high score in both shows dominance at the college level on both ends of the court. Here is a list of recent college PGs who topped .540 and 9.0:

The "I'm Coming Home" video that they kept playing when Melo was traded annoyed the absolute **** out of me.

                      Re: Jeremy Lin

Let me preface this by saying that I am loving everything Jeremy Lin right now. I think that he's a terrifically skilled player (small sample size aside, he has also put up solid offensive numbers), and as a GSW fan, I wish nothing but the best for him. If there was a comparison to be made to Tebow, the difference is that this guy would relatively deserve the national exposure for the candid numbers he is putting up.

All of this being said... did anyone catch Sportscenter's Top 10 this past morning? I saw a teed off hole in one, a goalie do the splits to make consecutive point-blank saves, a D-Wade 360 layup with pressure in the post, and two half court buzzer-beaters. So how in the hell did this play end up being the #1 highlight of the day, much less even crack the list?

Look, I love the man. This isn't anything against him. This is me looking at ESPN and saying "Hype machine, much?" I am fine with them exposing Lin, but keep this better-than-ordinary play out of the top ten, and if they can't, then especially from #1.

Lin has what looks like to me questionable form on his jumper and also makes alot of bad decisions with the ball after making his move to the hoop. He will be exposed a bit in coming weeks, but if he keeps working, I could see him being a quality player in the league.

This is why I don't watch ESPN. I create my own hype by watching and reading what I want online.
